Breastfeeding Pillows?

I am currently registering for my baby shower and plan on breast feeding and pumping. There seem to be many breast feeding pillows out there. Questions:
  1. Are the pillows necessary?
  2. What is the best pillow out there?

i would definitely get one! I have a boppy and a breastfriend. The breastfriend is really nice because you can basically go hands free when they are smaller. The boppy is nice because you can use it for more than just breast feeding.

I have a boppy and have said since day 1 that it was the best gift I received. 4 1/2 months in and I still love it.

I have a boppy and it's great when they're smaller. Now that my lo is almost 9 months, I don't use it as often.

I love mine, still use it all the time. Don't remember what brand it is, but I got from Babies R Us for about $30. Money well spent!

I have the widgey and I absolutely love it. It makes breastfeeding so much more comfortable.
I also feed without it a couple of times a day so I'm not lost without it!! Such as when I'm feeding in public
