Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle

OK, so for those who have seen my previous thread, i'm having difficulty getting my milk supply up to where it should be(Long Story). My daughter is 16 weeks old today. I'v done some research into the herbs Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle as they are supposed to increase milk supply but wanted to know had any of ye tried it?? Did they work or not??? Any other supplements that increased your supply?? Thanks very much.

Fenugreek is fab! havent used Blessed thistle, I bought milk thistle by mistake. I am told lager is good for supply. I had an alcohol free one with my tea so will have to see if it helps, I express so the effects will be noticable.

The biggest difference I found was cutting out caffeine and drinking more juice or caffeine free tea.

If you want a quick boost you could try Domperidone, that would tide you over until everything else kicked in.

PS. The alcohol free lager hasnt helped yet

Fenugreek is amazing!!!! I had to use this for a bit. My lactation consultant told me to take 3 tabs 3 times a day. You know you are taking enough when you smell like maple syrup! I was starting to produce copious amounts of milk! It was amazing

I've heard great things about fenugreek, but haven't got round to buying it yet. Oats are good & almonds. I've been having porridge for breakfast & snacking on almonds & oat biscuits during feeds.
