Big baby on breastmilk- any experience

I've posted this before, but I'm pretty much looking for other mummies who are breastfeeding or have breastfed & had their LOs jump up the centile chart? My son is 5 months tomorrow & is 21lbs 9.5oz so nearly on the 99.6th centile.
The HV isn't worried & he's doing well, beyond thriving, but I just want to know I'm not alone with my baby giant!
He's 95th centile for height and head as well, so well proportioned, but in 9-12 month clothing.

Sounds like you're doing a great job!!

I'm not sure on percentiles etc, but I have a big baby too, born a few weeks after your LO.

She was 10lb 1oz born and is now 18lbs at 18 weeks, so sounds like she will be on track with your LO!

People often mistake my LO for a 6 month old (I don't think he full dark head of hair helps )

I'm really proud, and you should be too, that we can feed this chunky monkeys, it's a great testament to our bodies and what they're capable of.

You go momma!

Xx

I just noticed, we actually had the same due date 10/11/12!!

I was so hoping for baby to be born on her due date, what a cool birthday but she had to be encouraged out and was finally evicted on the 25th

Xx

Yeah I loved 10/11/12 but my little firework baby had other ideas! I think I remember you from one of the November threads.
You're right though, we should be proud! Sometimes it's hard to remember that it's a good thing as people always seem so shocked

My son just turned 6m and is 25 lbs and in 12-18m clothes. He's always been big but everyone said he'd slow down around 4months but it didn't happen.
My gran told me I was over feeding him and should water down his feeds haha
I asked her how to add water as there isn't a faucet attatchment on my boobs haha

I really wanted my lo to be born on 10/11/12! But he was born on 10/27/12. And I also have a chunk. He's 18 pounds and I don't even know how long. At the 4 month check up he was I. The 90 percentile for everything. We ebf until six months. Which is only one more month!

I don't mind him being big until people think he's a year old and they start asking me whats wrong with him? Why isn't he walking? Can't he talk yet? Then I get all mama bear on them and explain that no he's younger than you think and why haven't you learned manners at your age?

If he doesnt slow doen im going to have to supply his birth certificate before they let him play preschool sports. Nobody will believe his age!

Lol, I totally get that too! He's so big, they think I'm starving him when I say he is still breastfed, no solids. And even my mum says she keeps having to remind herself that he's young because he's bigger than my sister's 8 month old. I love his chubby wee thighs
