Sleeping longer and engorgement

The night before last, Aaron slept for 6 hours for the first time ever! The most he ever did before was 3 hours, but we inclined his mattress because of his reflux and that seemed to help.

Problem is, my breasts got very full and have been a bit engorged ever since. Last night he was finding it almost impossible to latch on and kept sliding off every few seconds. In the end I pumped for a while to soften the breast, but I'm worried that pumping will increase my supply even more and make the problem worse! Any tips on how to get him latching on again?

You can try expressing rather than pumping, but I think if you just do enough to soften the breast enough for LO to get a latch, you'll be fine.

LO is just regulating your supply again It'll take a few days to regulate, then you're good to go till his next growth spurt
