The best nipple cream is?....

Hi Girls

Can you please tell me which cream you have found to be the best for sore nipples?

Trying to get prepared in advance for this time around...

Only used lansinoh as it was recommended so much - expensive but you can get it on prescription free

I was going to suggest Lansinoh aswell. A great one, I wish we could get it on prescription free here! Lol, that would be fab, it is also excellent on sore or dry/cracked lips too. Better than any lip balm or gloss!

Also been told the breastmilk itself does a good job

Same as above: Lansinoh and breastmilk. Midwives often have sachets of Lansinoh they can give you free. And a little goes a very long way.

Agree with everyone else! Lanisoh is fab and really helped with my (very) sore nipples in the first week or so after Sam was born. My GP prescribed it for me and I had a couple of sachets from the MW too. That and the breastmilk just expressed around the area worked wonders!

Ditto on the above! You won't need more than one tube of the Lansinoh either because as Asher said, a little goes a long way! I got several of the sample sachets and ended up barely using the tube at all.

I used lansinoh for the first couple weeks, barely used half a tube, and then breastmilk + air drying once we got a good latch going
