Advice needed please ladies!!!

Hi girls

sorry for intruding early but I'm after some advice before LO arrives.

Basically I'm having a sweep tomorrow as they wanted to induce me early (I've had kidney probs) but agreed to try a sweep first. I'm absolutely dead set on BF.

So I got up this morning and on my right nipple I found a sort of large spot/abscess type thing had appeared just beside the nipple on the areola. When I was looking at it without even any pressure being applied it burst - not sure if it was like a spot or if it was breast milk/colostrum inside.

Either way the spot which is left is sort of now just like a really sore inflammed montgomery tubercle.

What do you all think - if I'm going to be delivered in the next 24-48hours I dont want to be going into it with grotty nipples to start with, but at the same time am reluctant to just be slapped on antibiotics which is what I'm sure my GP will do.

Just wondered if any of you had any advice or had anything similar? I'm well in myself, no temps, no true mastitis or anything, its just that one spot.

Thanks ladies. xxxx
