How much fenugreek should you take?

hi, i bought some fenugreek capsules today from holland and barrett, it says on the container to take 1-2 capsules 3 times a day, but i was wondering how much do i take if i want to increase my milk supply? It says each tablet contains 610mg.
I just don't want to take too much, and have it make my LO sick when i feed him or anything.
Thanks ladies

Nurses advised me to take 3 pills, 3 times a day (9 total) and it's been working wonders for me. Basically if you don't get the "maple syrup" type smell on your skin/urine, you're not taking enough.

The amount transferred into your milk doesn't usually bother the babies. It may unsettle their tummies a bit, but I haven't heard of anything other than that. I noticed mine got a bit farty (ok, fartier than normal). I took between 9-12 capsules a day (the 6 per day dose usually works for people).
