Don't have much advice, but my LO is the same. He's like a vacuum cleaner! It's like a breast pump on it's highest setting from the off. All I do is make sure his latch is as good as possible. I was half asleep a few days ago and he's managed to bruise my nipple from sucking too hard on the wrong bit.

If anyone has any actual advice, I'd be interested too!

Can't help with the strong sucking, but get yourself a nursing necklace to stop the clawing

I was going to say my LO is the same, no advice really except maybe to offer feeds closer together; so LO is not as ravenous when eating. I find this works somewhat xx

Definitely give them something to do with their hands. I use security blankies for my kids and it works well. But toys or necklaces can work, too.

As for the sucking -- no idea.

They are just big, chunky necklaces that they can play with while they nurse. It keeps their hands busy. Google nursing necklace.

Get something like a big pendant on a hemp string. Good luck breaking that. LOL
