November/December Mums?

Hey

Any November/December mums having a hard time with there LO feeding constantly! Little Caleb (My son) has been feeding ever hour today. He wont sleep unless is he being held in my arms. At night he wont sleep in the crib and he just cries to be fed every hour. I was awake until 8am the other day with no sleep! its driving me insane. Is anyone else going through this just now?

Im so stressed ive considered giving a dummy just to see if its a comfort.

Thanks

I totally know what you are going thru my lo will be 4weeks old and he doing the same thing. Some nights I get no sleep and he feeds every hour or he will stay awake thru his feedings. I give him a dummy but he still will scream and want to eat. I just have hope that it will get better.

Aw i hopeso, ive just given him a dummy tonight! he seems a little more settled in his crib. Hes only 3 days old though, so i dont know if this is going to cause more problems. I may need to swap to FF or maybe mixture of them both. anyone else got same prob?

Your LO is only 3 days old; it takes a few days for your milk to come in and what you describe is totally normal-I would really try and wait it out a bit and things will hopefully get easier-BF is totally worth it for all its benefits; anyway many FF babies wake and feed this often at this age as well-their tummy can only hold around 5ml at a time xx

My lo is 8 days old and wants to feed all the time! It's driving me nuts as I feel like all I do is feed baby. If I'm holding him he will usually sleep 3 hours but otherwise it's eat, eat, eat!

My LO was the same for the first few days and I thought I was going to lose the plot BUT nearly 2 weeks on we're doing much better. Only waking up once to feed between 10-6am. She has the odd few bouts of being insettled but we're using a dummy to settle her if she won't settle herself.

Good luck!

My LO is 1 month old now and we are exactly the same!!

With us there is no such thing as a feed - he is actually attached constantly. He only sucks around 2 mins at a time then falls asleep so I keep him on and do all the tickling/cold cloth on face/blowing on him etc then change his nappy then get him back on for him to suck another 30 seconds then fall asleep..........this went on from 2.15am til 7am this morning and he was still awake!!!! I did cave in and got OH up and gave him a 2 oz bottle for baby and I went to bed!! I couldnt physically stay awake anymore so there was no other option at that point!!! And with a 22 month old toddler to run around after too!!

I think at 3 days old my milk wasnt in yet so hope things do settle a bit (though dont get your hopes up!!!)

Good luck!
