Will different foods effect my milk?

I was just curious as I have a sweet tooth and my partner said it tastes really sweet. Will food make it taste different?

I'm not a pro or an expert or anything like that but...today marks 6 months of EBF my LO

and I have to admit....I eat anything and everything. I have found nothing that bothers her at all but this is just my experience. Breast milk is naturally sweet to begin with because we our programmed to like sweet things from birth. (they use sugar and artificial sweetener in formula to make it sweeter...) this is information that I have found from my own research. I hope this helps, also...I took a progesterine only pill 6 weeks PP and it DID change the flavor of the milk slightly...LO wouldn't nurse or take that milk from a bottle it only happened while on my period...I ended up having to stop taking it due to that so that is the only thing that has come up with me

I'm not sure if it's coincidence, but I've had Chinese twice then the day after LO has vomited. I'll be avoiding it from now on xx

there is so much research out there that what you eat certainly effects your breastmilk

I love spicy food, and LO has explosive bowels without fail the next day! Mine is pretty sweet too, think it's normal - or maybe cos i love the cakes a bit too much....
