Really?wow thats ace!

i was 10st 4 pre preg, put on about a stone and a few days after lo was born i weighed 9st 13!! unfortunately 5 months later i still weigh 9st 7 and could do with losing another stone (i'm only 5ft 1) so ive joined my fitness pal. They calculate calories etc but u add on 500 for breastfeeding a young baby. Its free and its dead easy to calculate calories. sadly i keep cheating ;0

I do hope you are right. It would be good to see the scales move in the right direction

It's a tough balance between keeping your supply up and losing weight. I couldn't do it in the first 6 months because when I'd lose a pound or two, my supply would tank and my daughter would be hungry and it was so frustrating for both of us. My advice is to eat healthy and moderately exercise but don't start cutting back on the calories or insanely exercising because you quite possibly will run into problems with not having enough milk to satisfy your LOs. Good luck! I'm slowly losing my pregnancy weight....it's not easy but I figure that it took me 9 months to put on so it's not going to come off fast.

Me too! I just want cake and chocolate! I eat so much. I was 9.5 pre-preg and went up to 11.5 then down to 10.3 within two weeks of giving birth, and still there now. Was relieved not to have put any back on though!
I do love going for walks though which was put on hold for a few months due to bad back towards the end and then recovering from C-sec, so I'm hoping that now I'm all healed the walking will help!

My daughter is 6 months now and I've been going to slimming world for the past 12 weeks and have lost just over 2 stone so far. I was worried about it affecting my supply but so far so good xx

My mum is a chocolatier so it's hard to escape chocolate damn it!

We've been cutting out pretty much all meat and eating lentils and chick peas and lots of vegetables - I'm hoping this will shift the weight.
It's so hard when you want to stuff your face.

At least the weather is nice, will be going on a walk to town today!

I am!
I've lost all my pregnancy weight ( the whole 20 pound haha) and I would love to loose about 10 more. Finding it VERY difficult to loose the extra weight cause breastfeeding makes me crave the worst foods, and im way too tired to workout and can't figure out how to manage going to the gym with a newborn :/ I have started taking him on morning and night walks thought

I have to agree with this. I barely lost anything til after new year when he turned 3 months since then I have lost 1stone 9lb and much as I have been eating healthy meals with my DH he has not seen the dairy milk I have been eating behind his back! BF makes me soooo hungry now sometimes I even have toast before baby bedtime and my grown up healthy tea after bedtime! The weight is still coming off but I know when I start weaning him I will have to stop all this unhealthiness or it will go back on twice as fast!

Now I just wish that cadburys fruit and nut counted as one of your 5 a day!

xxx
