Storing extra milk

I pump exclusively because my little lady ha a jaw issue and it makes breastfeeding REALLY painful. I did the same with my first daughter but that was because he was a preemie. Anyways My little lady will be 3 weeks old on Friday but I pump enough for two bottle for her at most pumps during the day. I had thought about picking up some Medela storage bags and freezing some but I have no idea if women actually find having an extra stash helpful. If you store your breast milk did you find it helpful?

Thanks

When I leave lo with dh while I go shopping, I went and saw Hunger Games last week so my stash really came in handy. You can also donate it!

Yes, I freeze excess BM all the time. It comes in handy on days when I don't pump enough at work for her bottles the next day. Or if I need to run out and don't have time to pump, DH can use a bottle from the freezer and I pump when I get back to make up for it. Also, I have quite a large stash, so my older DD (2 years old), drinks a couple cups of BM a day - the nutrients/antibodies are good for children of any age. Over time I've gradually pumped less and less (I don't pump exclusively, but I pump at work), so it's nice to have a freezer stash to rely on, and I'm planning to stop pumping at work when she's a year old, but I know my freezer milk will last at least a few more months past that. Or you could donate it.

I've been storing extra milk for when I'm back at work. I think it will definitely come in handy
