HELP - Newborn hasnt poo'd...

So lo is now 10 days old. Jaundice appeared day 3. Had bowels opened days 1-6 but since milk came in, he has done lots of pooping but no motions. His jaundice is clearing now.
Days 0 - 6 lo lost 10% birthweight then when weighed only gained 20g in 2 days then following 2 days no change. M/W then recommended expressing 4 x after feeds to increase milk.
Not too concerned about weight - baby is latching well and is alert and content but its the lack of poo...?

I'm sorry, I don't understand what the problem is? How long has it been since you've had a dirty diaper?

It is probably a minor thing that needs tweaking; when I have known ladies with similar problems it has usually been a minor tweak with latch or the duration of feeds that has solved the problem. Sometimes a latch can seem perfect but its not 100% optimum, don't be afraid to ask for help and it may be wise to get onto the breastfeeding support team in your area (hopefully there is an NHS one, if not NCT, LLL and the Breastfeeding network have people in most areas) as some midwives don't really have a good clue as to a really good latch. xx
