How long does it take you feed your lo?

And how do you know when he/ she is finished? My ds is 12 weeks and used to take about an hour. Now only 20 minutes ( 10 min either side) if he is on longer than 20 mins he is sick.

He used to always take 15-30 minutes (we only do one boob per feed) but now he can be done in 5 minutes (which always worries me but he'll refuse more so I try to trust he's done lol). He usually has short feeds in the morning/early afternoon but by 4/5PM he takes longer as he starts dozing off lol. The last feed before bed can take up to an hour and a half as he's so sleepy and some is just comfort sucking.

About 10-15 minutes now. When he was little it took longer. When DD was little it took her nearly an hour, then a short rest, then another feed.

DS could finish it in 10 minutes if he really wanted to but I allow 30 minutes for him to comfort suck and cos I love the cuddle time. That time also includes a nappy change.

When he was little it would take an hour. Same as PP, feeds earlier in the day are shorter and get progressively longer as the day goes on. The last feed of the day will take an hour if I let it. Overnight feeds are 15 min or less. We are both so tired!!

My little one still takes about 20 mins on 1 boob and then I offer him the other and he will feed for about 10 mins. Alot better than the hour feeds he used to do. But I still worry about him not getting enough as he sometimes is not content after a feed.

Usually 5-10mins on one boob, although sometimes the bedtime feed can be 20mins or so. He's always been a very efficient feeder and never really comfort sucks. I have a very strong letdown so I think that's why. When he comes off that's it - if I re offer he will now sometimes bite as it hangs out the side of his mouth! So I'm reluctant to push it now....!

My baby takes 40 minutes and he's nearly 3 months old. That's rubbish. How come you guys are so quick?

10 minutes every 2.5-3 hours like clockwork except for the last feed before bed when she will comfort suck to sleep after. She will pull off, turn her head and smash her lips together when she is done as well as doing the "gas gauge" bit with her arms.

Don't worry my ds overnight seems to get quicker. It's like he's processed how to be more efficient suddenly. it's great that he's more efficient but I do miss the extra cuddles!
