Ive decided to let Owen self wean, after regretting weaning my daughter at this age.
I started to do the 'dont offer, dont refuse' thing, and slowly he has cut down.If we are out all day he will only have it on waking and at bedtime, and wakes 2 or 3 times to feed during the night.Just a month or so earlier he was asking all day,at playgroup etc,so I think this technique works well, without being forcefull on them.
Try distraction,so she hardly feeds during the day because she is kept busy, then you can tackle night weaning when she gets used to that.

My DD has been STTN since 11 months and has self weaned down to just a morning feed now.

If you're wanting to encourage weaning slightly then I agree with trying the don't off but don't refuse approach.

We're self-weaning, but I night weaned her by giving her a cuddle instead of boob, and she went back to sleep like that instead.

Don't know if that helps?!

ty laides the dont offer dont refuse is a good one!

usually if she wants a feed in the day its boredom unless its the 1pm feed to get her to sleep unless we are out in the car

every 2 hours at this age is probably rare veganmama i know i made mistakes in the early days i struggled with ill health still do and dont have the strength to put her down in the cot and settle her by rocking so every time she wakes its on the boob however often that is
