That sounds exactly like my LO's latch. He goes on PERFECT... and three sucks in, he's spit enough of the nipple out to be really really painful for me.

I'm expressing too now - good to know am not alone in these feelings of guilt.

Hun, give your self a break. im expressing alot too due to oveer supply and nipples being to low its hard geting her to latch right and my nipples are sore and so cracked too. ur babys getting ur milk thts the main thing hun ur doing great. have u tried nipple shelds? they didnt work for me but they help ur nipples heal and u can still feed directly of the boob.
at first it bothered me she wasnt directly on my boob but now. i realise its not about tht. shes getting my bm and thts the main thing x
