Milk blisters....anyone???

So I am not breastfeeding, but I am pregnant.

About 2 months ago a milk blister popped up on my left nipple and it hurts so bad!

I went to my OBGYN and asked her about it and she told me to that I could pop it with a sterilized needle. So I finally got the guts to shove a needle into my needle. OMG it hurt so bad ... and to top it off NOTHING happened. It just started bleeding. Of course, now my nipple hurts even worse.

Does anyone have any advice on HOW to get rid of a milk blister?? Obviously nursing and pumping isn't going to work for me since I don't have a baby yet

wow thats odd howd you get a milk blister without nursing? i thought they were caused by incorrect latch??

anyways i had one, and it popped on its own AND peeled off. took weeks to heal and still isn't 100% but it's certainly better now

I think it's because I am leaking just a little bit.

The obgyn said that the little bit of milk gets stuck behind a flap of skin and turns to a blister.

Funny thing is, I nursed my dd for 12 months and never got a milk blister (just clogged ducts).

This thing hurts so bad ... Grrr.
