Breast shield sizing question

How do you know what size will work without buying different ones? I pulled up a sizing chart to see but it still has left me a little confused.

LOL I heard good things about them and almost went with them but after doing some research and I am going with Medela. My cousin also uses them so I will get her extra stuff when shes done with it in a few months.

They have the general 24mm (i think thats the size at least) but they also have the perfect fit shields that let you pick out the size that actually fits you. I am just filling out my registry and wanted to put the perfect fits on there just for my extras.

I have an ameda which comes with 25mm shields and I was speaking to a LC and she said that most people will find this too small. The hospital hav 30mm as standard. I ordered a kit for mine that comes in 32.5mm and 36mm. I use the 33.5mm, I found the 30mm hurt a bit.

This is good to know though. I think I may see if some of the maternity stores here let you try them.
