Breastfeeding pillow?

Hi ladies

I'm just getting the last bits and bobs for Olivers arrival and I was wondering if it was worth getting a breastfeeding pillow? Do they help with postioning etc? Are they comfy for baby? They seem to look ok but never really asked anyone how they are to use x

Mine was an absolute god send!

It really help positioning and to eleviate pain from my section when BF.

I also found it comfy round my back to help support my back in late pregnancy and when recovering from the section

Never had one, initally I tried to use a pillow from the bed and couldn't really get comfy with it so concluded that I'd probably find the same with a special pillow.

I'd be tempted to see how you get on BFing before comitting to the expence.

I have the breastfriend one that wraps around and has a buckle and I love it..It is so much more comfy to breastfeed with it than with out. it elevates baby and that preIvents my back pain.

I just bought a v-shaped pillow (£9.99 from Dunelm plus cover £2.99 - uk), and found this so useful for sitting up in bed to do night feeds in the early days. I found after a while at night, nursing while lying down worked best for me and lo, it means we sort of accidentally started co-sleeping! But this works well for us. I never used the pillow for daytime feeds but only because I never got around to it! Other than that I never used any special bf pillows xx

I have a boppy too. It's great! Perfect for feeding, and I also use it to prop her up to just hang out. When she gets a bit bigger it can also be used for tummy time. Boppy is a multiple use pillow! Love it!
