thank you ladies, today ive had some skin to skin with dom and attempted a few BF's (not much luck he got frustrated) and topped up with formula..but to be honest my breasts feel...empty, i have an appointment with the doc tomorrow about my scar anyway (check up on healing) and ill mention about my breasts, my OH thinks its the drugs rather than me and dom,and if thats the case its unfair on us both, had a few teary moments today about it all,i keep thinking im failing him, OH says im not though,its just nice to have his and all your support on here it truly is. As OH is off this week im just planning on starting a fresh like i was in hospital, skin to skin, and AP said offering me rather than formula and expressing to keep me going, its hard work!

Another thing to remember is as your baby gets older your supply will regulate some. I remember about that time my breasts went soft and I thought maybe my supply was going but then I read about the softening at about 6-8 weeks.

I would drop the formula and just feed, feed, feed. He could be prefering the bottles because of the speed of delivery and is getting frustrated at the breast because it takes longer and is more work. My LO would get frustrated at my slow let down when she was younger so I would pump until I was starting to feel my let down intiate and then I would quickly pop her on. It helped with her frustration and eventually she was ok with the speed of my let down.

It may be difficult but I can't see any reason why you couldn't get back to EBF
