BF baby normally poohs 3 times a day, but hasn't in the past 48hrs...?

If I ask the HV she will say "as long as she's happy she's fine", and "it's normal for BF babies to go up to 2 weeks without poohs", but:

* going this long isn't normal for her.
* she's happy when she's on the breast, but reluctant to sleep and whiny, so I'm not sure.

Is there anything I can do to help, in case she's constipated? She's only 12 weeks so she's not on solids, and she refuses dummies and bottles

Izzy did this a couple of weeks ago. She was going every day, then she went 3 days without pooing and I was panicing. But she was fine, now it can be everyday but normally every other. As for the constant feeding, I think there's a growth spurt around 3 months isn't there!? xx

My lb was exactly the same. He does this every so often and as long as he is still feeding ok and still has wet nappies then its nothing to worry about. You can always check to see if the tummy is hard as a sign of constipation. If soft then no need to worry :-)

yes there is a 3 month growth spurt, which is likely why LO is constantly wanting to feed. So probably what she is getting she is using for growing and she doesn't currently have much waste.
