FED UP of constant comments! - Page 2

To be honest I think I've passed the point of comments

People that know I'm still BF no longer ask how long I'm going to continue etc as they know they'll just get the same answer of "until LO decides she doesn't want it anymore".

Between approx 10 - 18 months I would get the usual "You're STILL BF!?" and "Is she not too old / big for BF now?!" comments but I would just ignore them. I will continue to BF my LO for as long as she wants to and nobody elses opinion will affect my decision.

Good on you for not letting it get to you.

Thanks so much ladies. I'm so glad I'm not the only one that feels like this as I thought I was going mad! I'm sure by the look I give people they now know but I usually smile sweetly at them and keep thoughts in my head!!

Yes Amelia is a right acrobat now whilst feeding and you will usually find me with a baby attempting to swing her leg over my neck, whilst biting the nipple and pulling off at the same time! Real fun (!)

Again thankyou for all your kind comment! Now to rub it in to my family, shall I make a boob, complete with nipple, for Amelia's birthday cake?!? Lol! I would t but really would love that haha!

On topic, my in-laws asked me when LO was about 5 months when I would be stopping and told them that I would at least breastfeed until a year so I'm sure the question will be asked again. Luckily my FIL is very preoccupied with his own life and hasn't even thought to ask but I'm sure he'll have some very big opinions on the matter. Not that I care. He's not the one who is breastfeeding so I don't care. If I was a mean person I'd point out the reductions in cancer risk when breastfeeding for longer but I'm not.

Jakes, Very soon we'll both be celebrating not only the 1 year anniversary of our babies' births but a great achievement of breastfeeding them for a full year!

i nursed ds2 till he quit on his own at 15months caus i was pregnant with ds3 and will ds3 as long as it suits both of us to continue
