Breastfeeding, cosleeping, and "back to sleep"

So, I love cosleeping with my little girl, mostly cause I get sleep. She's EBF and she loves sleeping with me too. (Yay sleep!)

What I'm concerned about is we tend to cuddle side to side, so she can grab a nipple any time she wants to. But I'm kind of worried cause they tell you to put a baby to sleep on their backs only, but she doesn't reach for the nipple on her back. (And she's pretty good, even at only 4 weeks old, at launching herself to her side again so she can have boob.)

Is it horribly dangerous to have a baby sleep on their sides when cosleeping to breastfeed? I don't want to be dangerous, but she seems so cozy and the anytime boobie access is pretty nice.

its ok to side sleep hun. they just dont want them to tummy sleep. there even is a pillow you can get for crib sleepers that keeps them on their side for sleeping. i have co-slept with all 6 of mine now and they all sleep on their side with me until they get older. might get some better ideas and responses in the natural parenting section. theres lots of co-sleepers there

I always told that if baby can roll themselves to their side, then that's fine. My lo has always and still does doze off in bed at the boob after eating. He's always loved sleeping on his side.

I nurse her on her side, snuggle her for a bit and then try to reposition her on her back. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. But I dont fret about her laying on her side, I just dont like her smashed up to me.
