Baby won't latch on my left breast!??

She did feed from it this morning, but about an hour ago she refused to even latch on it! I tried and tried and she ended up crying like I was killing her or something so i switched her over to my right breast, and she just latched on with no problem and stopped crying?

I have mastitis but it's in my right breast, which is not the one she is denying? i don't understandddd...

I'm currently pumping my left one so it won't get full and painful!

EDIT: when I tried, i tried several positions everytime to see maybe if it she just wasn't comfortable, but every position she still didn't want it!

Try letting her latch on at bedtime or through the night when she's sleepy. Lie down in bed with her. You're doing the right thing by continuing to express on the left side though, so as you don't lose your supply there. It's good that she's eating from the right though, as that's the best way to clear up your mastitis quickly!

I found my LO did not like my right and would not latch on, well it was because it was so full and engorged, so once I expressed the milk she latched on just fine...
