I dont really know about reflux but the doctor did prescribed gaviscon for reflux when it all started around 3 weeks but it just made her sick so they referred us to a pediatrician who said colic which was when all the wind meds started. None have made her completely comfortable just cry a little less. Although my dd struggles to go to the toilet when they do come they are explosive & really watery. They either leak straight thru or I have to be careful not to tip the nappy!
I think we're going to have to go back to the docs tho as she can't be left to go one like this. It's so unfair for her & I'm struggling to survive on 3-4 hours sleep.
Thanks for you help xxx

Hey hun, she's probably not constipated. It sounds more like she's till learning to poop, which sounds odd but they need to know which muscles to use to poop, the need to relax one and push with another.
But it may be reflux, does she seem more irritable after eating?

Have you tried fennel for gas?

Also for the dairy it will take about 3-4 weeks for you to notice a difference in your LO as it needs time to clear your system and your LO's

Yes she is really irritable. I don't think it's constipation tho as it is so runny when she does go. I really don't know what it is to be honest. She is just so miserable & appears to be in pain all the time. The only time she is happy is after she has had bowel movements or if she is feeding. But if she don't fall to sleep within half hour she is looking for a feeding again. It doesn't matter if she is on the breast, expressed or formula... It's always the same.
I'll have a look into the reflux then as I don't know nothing about it. Thanks. X

Oooh I have never heard of this! Thank you, I will be trying this as this sounds just like her.

To be honest I only tried changing my diet for about 2 weeks as my hv said there was no point as long as everything was in moderation. I think she is so blasé about her crying & think she thinks I'm being a bit ott. xx
