I've just been and picked up my dress (it was an example sample) and it's currently sitting in my wardrobe until my mum comes back from holiday when she has said I can keep it there.

in acid free storage- like a bridal dress box or bag. it really should have came with a bag?

Just store it in there in a clean dry place, dont zip it up the whole way so that the stale air wont discolour it, let it breathe once a month (hang it up for an hour out the bag) and the day before, steam it in a hot bathroom.

It came with a plastic cover and a plasticy bag thing to carry it in but this isn't breathable so I assume is for short term storage?

sounds like it!!! your wedding is in 6 months so it should actually be ok as long as the zip isnt done all the way up and you let it out to breathe for a few hours once a month but make sure you store it where there are no moths!!

Haha!!! Going to try it on later with my sister so I will get pictures then. I've ordered a breathable bag from ebay for £5 too, hopefull that will work!

I keep going upstairs to look at it and washing my hands obsessively before I touch it. Thank god it's going to my mums soon or I'd end up wearing it round the house at this rate!
