We're catering for all of our guests because we're not having a sit down meal as our ceremony is so late

I'm going to ask the venue to have tin foil available for the guests so that if they want to take any of the left over sandwiches they can

our venue told us how man had to be catered for. We had 80 evening guests and they ALL had to be catered for. But there was hardly any wastage on the buffet, just a few sandwiches, was yummy I think its usually the venue that dictates if the full number or the 80% has to be included in the numbers for catering.

We are only catering for 35 at our evening buffet and we are having 60 evening guests. We are getting married at 4.30 and having the sit down meal at around 6ish, After the ceremony and photos. Our day time guests wont really be eating much after a 3 course meal!. x

if they advised 2/3 thats what i would go for! 1.it saves you money and 2. they obviously have the experience that that is enough for the numbers!

Depends what you're having I guess. If you're having a traditional buffet where folk can take a few nibbles then you should be ok but we had bacon and sausage baguette's. My thinking was if everyone wants something to eat, they'd all take one so I needed to cater one each.
