Wedding favors!

I don't want to spend a lot on wedding favors but I had two ideas. The first is two little mini maple leaf candies wrapped in cellophane and the other was caramel/candy apples...but the apples are really expensive...so I found this website for diy mini apples - do you think that'd be too much work to make 60-70 little mini apples?

Personally I think that will be a lot of work and a bit messy to do too. I see it as mess can = stress because they will be tricky and need to be made last minute. Something we are doing is a cookie buffet. We will have our moms and aunts make big batches of cookies and decorate a table up with some jars and have cellophane baggies so people can take them home too if they want

Thats really interesting. I heard of people doing cookie/candy buffets but I wasn't sure if they were for favors or what. The good thing is that I work at a camp and I have access to the kitchen which serves 100 people to make the apples in

Oh that's good! I would NEVER tackle that in my own kitchen

My SIL bought hershey's kisses and wrapped them in pretty clear cellophane (sp?) wrap with a little tag that said hugs and Kisses from the new Mr and Mrs.

My other SIL did chocolate bars and made their own wrapping with a picture of them on it and a writing/poem/thank you note on them. It was cute!

That's so sweet. Love that

I was going to make our favours. I was going to do the individual cookies but with the guests name written on (doubles up as name card then too). But as PP said, it's a big task to take on in a small kitchen. If the camp will let you use the kitchen then go for it. Homemade adds that extra touch to the day
