Less than 4 months to go eek!

Don't know where the time is going we only booked our venue in January and that was the first thing we did and we've been pretty laid back and just doing things here and there and I can't believe how close it is getting! My dress and the bridesmaids dresses aren't going to be ready until July and need alterations and we still have so much to do eeeeeeeeeeeeek!

Have you got a lot left to do?

I've done most of the big things now we have-

Venue
Photographer
Band
Dress
Bridesmaids Dresses

We've just had a cake tasting and have nearly sorted that and have picked our invitations and are just about ready to send our guest list away for them to be printed but we still have to get

Kilts for groom and groom party
flowers
favours
Hair & makeup
lots of other little touches like gifts for best men and bridesmaids etc.

We picked our menu yesterday and the hotel was all done up for a wedding so we saw our room done up like it will be for our wedding so that got me super excited

Oh we've already had to put my MIL in her place about inviting her friends. I think that is an old 'tradition' from back when it used to be the parents celebration (ie, they invite the guests, they host it etc) but when the bride and groom are paying, why the heck should they pay for guests who they dont even know!??? My MIL wanted to invite her ex husband

My dress is Monica Hadi. STD cards arrived the other day. Just have to finish them, envelope them, and send them And the next thing is the registrar...although have no idea where we will get the money for that. Way more expensive than I thought

God what is it with MILs they are a nightmare lol!!! Our parents are splitting the cost of our wedding which we are really grateful for but they both said at the start they wanted to pay half each but it was our day and our decisions to make and my parents have been amazing but every decision we make MIL has a problem with and has so far ruined every thing we have chosen by moaning about it so much We only wanted 80 guests for the day but she has 39 people that "have" to come which leaves hardly any room for my family and our friends and she has invited 28 people I have never met to the evening when we didn't want loads of people. My mum and dad have invited about 6 people and just want us to have a great day but I think MIL thinks its her wedding I'm trying to not involve her in any decision making from now on so I can enjoy planning the rest of the wedding and just send her a bill
