Was just wondering how long you and your OH had been dating before you or he popped the question?
Also how long you waited whist engaged to actually get married?
And a really mosey question...how old you are?

My reasons for asking is because me and OH we're only together 6 months when he asked me to marry him...... We moved in together 3 months after dating and have on,y been engaged a year but I'm planning our wedding for next June 2013.

OH wanted to get married the week after we got engaged....and still feels the same now but I felt because of what other people would say I'd rather wait untl we are together longer.
I'm only 21 so when we get married i Will be 23 and OH will only be 21. After reading around anyone that has got married at our age is because they have been together for 5+ years.....
Everyone knows we plan to get married next year but I get embarrassed when we tell them because I feel As soon as we leave they are all saying 'they are too young it won't last' which is stupid I know.
It shouldn't really matter what others think it just feels like on the day of the wedding people will be taking bets 'I give it 2 years max' I don't know why I feel this way...it's what me and Liam want...I guess I worry to much about what other people think!!!

Together for 15 months, engaged for 15 months - worked fine for us!

We got together in May 2008, got engaged in September 2010 (after 2.5 years) and are getting married in September 2013, by then we will have been together for 5.5 years and engaged for 3.

We're also quite young, I'm 21 and OH is 23. When we get married we will be 22 and 25.

Don't worry about what other people think, as long as it feels right for you and your OH that's all that matters, every couple is different and will do things at different times

Been together nearly 6 years when we got engaged back in 2009, getting married May 2013 on our ten year anniversary together. We will be 28(him) and 26(me) when we marry

I don't think there is anything wrong with quick/short engagements

okay this is how it started we met just about 7 years ago.. we were in highschool.. but he lived 45 min away and we didnt want to do the long distance thing so we both were in relationships with differant people but fooling around with each other (we were 15) than we broke up with those people and started dating each other but we had already made plans that we were going to sum day get married and have a family... we were together 3.5 years i think it was before we did the official engagement and planned to get married so after, but the problem we didnt know was i was pregnant.. so after we found out we post-poned the wedding.. so we have been engaged for 3 years (almost 3 years) when we finally get married... we have been together for 6 (april 25th) and we are 22 years old (well i am 22 he is 21 he will be 22 on april 24th).. hehe

ok been together nealy 5 years in september and we skipped engagement and are getting married in june lol im 22 this year

Started dating in March 2010, engaged in February 2011, married 4 months later in June 2011, and pregnant in October 2011. Worked beautifully!

Personally I don't think how long you've been together/engaged matters,if it's meant to be its meant to be!My OH proposed when he did cause he just knew I was the one!!

There is no right or wrong, if it works for you it works
