I had to have a C sec due to placenta praevia. My recovery was fab, my scar is non existant and im happy to do it all again.

Id go for the VBAC, ive never been in labour before so the absolute last thing i would want is an emergency c sec with a stuck stressed baby NO WAY!!!!!....so im opting for another elective!

vbac here. Already talked to my doctor about it. I had 4 vaginal deliveries, and then a csection (for a very large baby). Unless my future kid is large, then he sees no reason for me not to have a natural delivery. I hated labor and delivery, but the recovery was a breeze. The recovery from the csection was a nightmare, especially since I was pretty much on my own after a week, chasing after a 7,5,4,and 2yr old while trying to establish nursing with a newborn. The pain was awful, and even months after the csection, I had issues with pain and tenderness along the incision.

I have an almost 5 month old and I am 11 weeks pregnant I am planning a VBAC..I will never have a csection unless medically needed for mine and my los saftey...I hated my csection and very depressed. Current dr. said the csection was medically not needed and should have been vaginal. Makes me sad so praying my birth plan plays out this time.

My hospital is quite strict and has advised me that any future deliveries need to be c-section. However I am happy about this. I had an 'elective-turned-emergency' section with my first due to placenta praevia (it was booked as elective but ended up bleeding early). My 2nd I chose VBAC but my body just wouldn't comply. Also they didn't tell me I couldn't walk about, use birthing pool and stay mobile - I have a chronic back problem and couldn't have lain on bed being monitored for hours!
My 2nd c-section was lovely and recovery was a walk in the park compared to my first section.

I'm thinking I will go for csec like some of the others have said I would be worried that if I tried vbac I would end up with emcs as I heard them saying I hard a narrow birth canal so I think my body not able to do naturally?

Annie I am glad your second section was a positive experience but your hospital cannot tell you you have to hace a c-section. If you want to vbac and there's no medical reason not to you have the right to choose to vbac.

Without a doubt, I'll be an elective section the 2nd time around, same as the first.

This is exactly how I feel. I'm very worried that there's something wrong with my body that stopped my labour progressing.
I know it will be hard recovering from a section with a toddler and a newborn but it will be easier if we can plan for it, rather than me try labour again, end up having a section and then having to struggle. We don't have family close by so knowing exactly when my section is happening will be a huge benefit.
