My LO is 7 weeks but he is already outgrowing his pram which is where we have been settling him to nap during the day. We have a crib next to the bed upstairs but tbh he settles so much better in the carry cot of the pram that we usually take that upstairs at night too.

He is so long that I don't know where we are going to put him to sleep soon! He usually needs to be rocked to sleep during the day and I don't feel comfortable yet putting him for naps upstairs on his own even with the monitor on. Besides his naps are so unpredictable I'd have superwoman thighs going up and down the stairs all day :haha:

So where do yours sleep??

So today I had a facial booked. Nothing major, but just something special as I was off and my skin has been horribly dry lately. They knew I was coming in pregnant so they weren't going to be doing anything dangerous with any chemical peels or whatnot.

After about 15 minutes into the facial, I started to feel very hot, dizzy & as if I was going to simultaneously vomit & pass out. I asked her if I could sit up a moment and have some cold water, which she got me. I just couldn't tolerate it. The room was spinning. I think maybe it was being underneath the blanket they seem to put you under when you get a facial, but I just ended up rescheduling for after the baby comes. I felt so terrible. :(

Unfortunately I used Groupon, so I already paid and only have a little card stating to reschedule for September/October, so let's hope they actually honor it.

Have you guys had any experiences which you just couldn't tolerate like this?

What do you think of them? Hayden is 2 1/2 and has a real thing for lightning mcqueen. At first I resisted and refused to buy him stuff with him on, but I relented and now he's got t-shirts, socks, a hat, a jacket, sunglasses, a bag and pants. Given the choice he always wants to wear them and looks like a walking billboard sometimes! I still don't like it, as it seems like the companies selling them are using children to advertise for them, but on the other hand, if he likes something and wants to wear clothes with it on, isn't that really just a way to express himself? He also likes dinosaurs and I have no issues with him wearing a t-shirt with a dinosaur on.

Anyone had to take anti-sickness tablets???

Last month my doctor gave my cyclizine to stop my nauseau and vomiting,as I work in a kitchen I feel that that may be a big factor to the sickness.
I didn't really want to take tablets and my boss was a bit funny when he heard the word drowsy, so I never took them, last week I had a week of work and I was fine! Today I went in and it was non stop from 8 am to 4 pm. I couldn't eat a thing and pretty much ruined my stomach lining...
Any way sorry for rambling my question is how did you get on with the tablets? And did they make you feel drowsy? I'm starting to think tiredness has to be better than being sick

I have posted in 2nd tri too as I'm really fed up

Even though my sleep schedule is all over the place, my chart usually has a clear shift and FF is able to determine my O date. However, I'm wondering if sometimes it's actually wrong because of the time I temp.
Example. Got a +OPK today, but working tonight so will be awake from now until tomorrow morning. When I take my temp tomorrow it will be late afternoon/evening. If my temp has shifted up, FF will mark my O date as today, when couldn't it really be tomorrow while I am sleeping, so by the time I actually wake up will have a higher temp? Does this make sense?

Today is officially day 15 post my IUI. Having gone down this road three times before with absolutely nothing but false hope, it is needless to say I am completely apprehensive and nervous . Yesterday I began to get what felt like mild menstrual cramps accompanied by less than a drop of what appeared to be old blood :nope:. Instantly I began to freak out. How could I be going down the "failure" road yet again? I did everything right. I ate properly, though I am a partial vegan. I slept more, drank ample water and I took all the supplements recommended for healthy womb, body and blood. Being totally concerned about my weight (I have about 8-10lbs of extra weight on me due to being athletic and lifting heavy weights), but very well within what my doctor's deem safe and healthy. I've never smoked and don't drink ever, yet my body seems to be against me.

Fate has been cruel to me it seems. Perhaps I'm getting too caught up in my feelings, but I can't help it. I have been wrought with feelings of inadequacies and failure. Honestly, I am quite intelligent. Heck don't two undergraduate degrees and a master's degree equate to intelligence? If so, why can't I figure out what is going on with my body? Sorry about the sarcasm. It is a defense mechanism. Anywho, I want to be a mommy so much that I can't envision anything else. When I began to see some spotting and felt the cramping, all I could see was doom and gloom. Within hours the climax of the day came. I got the mother-load of pain and pangs all at once. I only have one ovary. Oh, yeah, I passed out in a Little Rock airport in 2008 due to septic shock. I awoke a day later to learn that on my birthday, just 24 hours later, I would have mandatory laparoscopic surgery to remove my left ovary as a result of a gigantic dermoid cyst. The cyst was so large it encompassed 1/3 of my abdomen. (Waiting on my award ladies...) Well, let me continue. The abdominal pain got so bad I was in tears and inconsolable. After some self-taunting and indecisiveness, I decided to take something to relieve the pain. I know taking any medication can cause harm to the unborn fetus, should I be pregnant, but I couldn't bare the pain.

Today I am at my absolute end. I slept with little discomfort. No vivid dreams, no epiphanies, just normal sleep. I woke to the bright red sight of AF. (I'm too much of a lady to tell AF where she can plant her lips.) Another 8k sucked down the sewage pipes and still nothing to show for it. Perhaps I shouldn't be so flippant and hasty. After all, I have my appointment tomorrow morning for a blood test. Funny thing, I keep thinking I'm going to be one of those women who still get their monthly visitor and still defy the odds of conception in a positive way. Then again, I think perhaps I am plagued with low hormone levels, thus making HPT's ineffective for me. Seeing that BFN yesterday and today blows...! :dohh:

Does anyone care to share their encouragement and story with me? Or am I alone? Faith of a mustard seed is all the Bible says I need. I feel I have more than that, yet I stand helplessly alone.

Thought I'd post this as I know there are lots of ladies on here going through spotting and bleeding and it's nice to know it sometimes works out. I have been spotting lightly with brown blood for around a week now, with 2 episodes of red blood. None of this was heavy but it started as an occasional thing and is now pretty constant each time I wipe and a little in a pad. I had a scan today and bean was perfect, managed to see a yolk sac and fetal pole then after an internal saw baby with a lovely little heartbeat. The nurse said they have 30 women a day through the unit with same symptoms and usually only a few of those a week end badly. I know it's hard not to worry but it can end well! X

My baby has started to really struggle at the breast when feeding during the day and will only stay latched for around 5 minutes before pulling my nipple in her mouth (ouch!!) and pulling off! She seems really excited - hands and legs everywhere and I have to try really hard to get her latched back on and then the same happens again! She feeds fine during the night and I can hear her swallowing on a night but not during the day! is this how it is going t be from now on? Is this normal? Will she be getting enough during the day?? Sorry for all the questions but she used to be a marathon feeder so this a very different.

Thanks for an advice....:flower:

Hello Everyone! I'm Nichelle, new to B&B

I am quite mind boggled on what is going on with my body. HOPING that someone may have gone through something similar or knows what could be going on!

Okay so this is what I'm working with..

AF was due to come 5/16/13

Mothers Day (5/12/13) I started bleeding, thought it was my period (mind you my periods are usually full on heavy and the cramps are really strong), but I had cramping for maybe an hour and that was it the rest of the day.

5/13/13 there was still some bleeding not heavy at all brownish color some bright red areas, no cramps just a bit of a weird feeling where my uterus lies.

5/14/13 same deal, just lighter than the day before

5/15/13 basically gone, no weird feelings, barely any blood

Now prior to this happening I all of a sudden was extremely tired every day at work, major back aches during the day and when trying to sleep at night, some nausea, my co workers pointed out to me that I had been going to the bathroom more than usual though I didn't think so, my boobs were sore on and off for days, all of the thing I thought were leading to AF but a lot stronger than it usually is before I come on.

I have read up a lot on Implantation Bleeding and some things sound like me and others don't. I just don't know what it is. I took a test, negative. I still have the symptoms (sore boobs, frequent bathroom trips, sleepiness, etc), but the test says I'm not pregnant!

ANY THOUGHTS?!

Has anyone had any experience with getting an amnio done at 37 weeks to check for lung maturity? I'll be having one on Wednesday to see if our little guy is ready. If he is good to go then I'll be induced that night at 10 pm! As a side note I've been high risk my whole pregnancy and my doctor thinks it's best to get baby out as close to term as possible since my epilepsy has been getting more difficult to control. Has anyone had any experience with this? How much did the amnio hurt? I'm getting so worried for it now even though I am so ready to meet baby! Anyone have any input on how often lungs aren't matured?! Baby has been measuring right on if not a few days ahead whole pregnancy!

I started off at 62kg and at 5'1 I wasn't exactly underweight lol but due to morning sickness lasting till almost the end of 2nd tri and a sickness bug I lost 2kg so went down to 60. I started putting on weight very slowly from about 24wks and went up to 65/66kg by around 28-29wks.

Well, I weighed myself the other day just before I turned 33wks and I've lost weight again and am down to 64kg :/
I've been eating healthily but normally, as well as sweet treats here and there and a few takeaways etc. Nothing in my diet has changed (in fact my appetite has been bigger the last 3 or so weeks than it has been since before I was pregnant) so I have no idea where the weight is going or why!

Bubs is definitely growing and my belly is getting bigger so I'm really confused! Shouldn't be gaining more weight at this stage??

Last night, I felt fine before going to bed. However, once I was lying there a bit, I started getting a headache that lasted all night. Tylenol didn't help but an ice pack on the back of my neck did. The pain started out at the top of my head (and was pretty dull) and moved to the back of my neck (where it intensified). I've always had headaches that improve with lying down but never any that begin or get worse with it! Any thoughts?

Hello, everyone! This is my first post on this site, but I've been reading around for a couple of weeks. I'm twenty years old and I turn twenty-one...

Hello, everyone! This is my first post on this site, but I've been reading around for a couple of weeks. I'm twenty years old and I turn twenty-one next month. My boyfriend and I are high school sweethearts, but were broken up for two years in between me graduating high school and coming back home to continue my education for various reasons. We decided that we couldn't live without one another. Now that's out of the way, I have a question. I don't feel like Googling or Binging it because I don't want to get scared of the possible "diagnosis" of this, and want to hear from other moms and moms-to-be and want-to-be-moms. :)

My question is, is it normal to spot a week before an expected period for two days, VERY LIGHTLY, then stop for a few days and have one MEDIUM spotting?

I've been on my period since I was nine. My period has never been regular, but never too irregular. I've been keeping track on an app on my cell and my periods have been spaced out between 28 days and 32 days. My next expected start date is the 24th. I spotted on the 14th and 15th then on the 19th.

I'm putting this here because my boyfriend and I want a child. We're NTNP and wouldn't mind either way. He's known I've wanted a baby since I was a child myself and he wants a child. We're not going into extremes like trying to figure out my ovulation days and such, but we're not using condoms either. I've never been on BC because my mother took it when she was a teenager and just two years ago, she nearly died from the effects of it due to blood clots in her lungs and legs. I was adopted, but that still scared me out of ever trying any form of pill. I don't want anything to be inserted into me down there and I can't stand needles, so having the needle-like BC in my body would freak me out too much. (My friend had that in high school and she had me feel it and I had to swallow my vomit.)

I just wanted to know what this could be a sign of. I did read somewhere about it could be pregnancy or early miscarriage or something life-threatening or even nothing. I just want to know if I should call my doctor or not and be worried or happy. Thank you!!!

Hi its another question from me ( i know i ask a lot!!)

So we started swaddling lo from 8 weeks cos he started rubbing his face and waking himself up and he sttn from 9 weeks but about 3 weeks ago he stopped and now wakes up between 4 and 12 times a night!! :(

He doesnt like it much and has always tried to break free and several times ive bought a bigger swaddle to try and keep him in it but now at 18w3d i think hes ready to stop being swaddled cos it just fidgets and fights until he is free or gets frustrated and crys so the swaddling isnt realy working anymore but if i dont swaddle him he still rubs his face and wakes himself up more often than if he is swaddled!!

I dont know what to do anymore! Everything i do is wrong! Swaddling him makes him frustrated that he cant get free so he wakes up crying but not swaddling him means he can rub his face so he wakes up crying!! What can i do?

Im trying to get him into a daytime sleep rutine of three 1/1.5 hour naps the first one 1.5 hours after he wakes up and the other 2 so hes not awake more than 2 hours in a row so he isnt over tired to see if that helps!!

Help please!!

I feel like my tail bone is broken. I'm getting the shooting, sharp pain when I do any of the above things. Everyone was urging to me to call my Dr. so I did but I don't think they'll be able to do anything for me.

Is this normal for pregnancy and more importantly, will it go away?

On Friday I got a call that my afp levels were mildly elevated meaning there is a 1:263 chance that the baby may have a neural tube defect like spina...

On Friday I got a call that my afp levels were mildly elevated meaning there is a 1:263 chance that the baby may have a neural tube defect like spina bifida. I made it very clear to him that if the baby has spina bifida I am not terminating the pregnancy and we will deal with it. Unless the baby has a condition that is considered to be "incompatible with life" I am not doing anything about it. He seemed to agree and said that was fine.

I've been waiting all day for the doctor to call me back and let me know when I can come in for the ultrasound. The doctor thinks there is no real risk, the numbers are borderline elevated and he insists that everything will be totally fine. I've been trying to remain positive all weekend telling myself that but this doctor seems to be blowing me off and its driving me nuts.

DH just called me and asked if I heard back from the doctors office. I said no. He asked for their phone number so I gave it to them. He called me back and told me the exact same line I've been hearing since Friday, I should hear something within a few hours. Then he said to me that if we have a special needs child he only wants to have one and will not try again. I told him to just wait and see what happens. Then he said his mother has spent all weekend researching spina bifida and thinks I am insane if I want to keep a spina bifida baby. I told him that I thought her views were silly. I've known people and even dated one with spina bifida and they have all been fine. There are certain very extreme cases of spina bifida with chiari malformation or other problems that can cause severe problems but right now there is no reason to even suspect that and as it is, there is a 99.62 chance that everything is fine anyway.

He told me that I better hope so because if the baby turns out to have spina bifida I need to be prepared to terminate the pregnancy. I told him I plan on doing no such thing. Then he told me that he wants me to. I told him that isnt his decision alone so he told me that if I don't I will be raising the baby alone.

I hung up the phone on him and I just can't stop crying. I am under enough stress as it is about this, I am trying to remain calm and I can't believe he just said that to me.

Furthermore, he of all people should fucking talk since he was a special needs child. He is legally blind! He has extremely poor vision, he is completely colorblind and in daylight or pretty much any levels of light he is completely blind and can't go out without wearing glasses that block out 98% of light and even then on really bright days even with the glasses he can't cross a street by himself.

People told his mother that she should terminate her pregnancy with him and she didn't so I find it pretty damn hypocritical of her to insist that I terminate the pregnancy and downright offensive for him to tell me that if I don't he is leaving me!

I am so stressed out as it is. I just hate him right now!

With my DD turning 1 shortly I have been feeling very sentimental. Today she gave me the very rare opportunity to step back in time. She woke early from her nap but, really wasnt ready to get up so after trying to pat her back off I took her downstairs for a cuddle. Here she fell back to sleep a slept snuggled into me for another couple of hours like she did as a tiny baby. It was a beautiful moment and I cherished every minute.

My baby is 4 weeks old and spends a lot of time looking around but seems to get bored and frustrated easy so I want to get her something to simulate her. i'm looking at getting an activity gym with some kind of moving parts that can keep her entertained so I can sometimes put her down while she is awake. I've looked at lots of different ones but as they can be expensive I'd like some advice about which ones people have found good. I'd like one that can entertain her now but that will also grow with her. A lot of the reviews I've found have been about older babies but my LO is only 4 weeks and she can't grab at the toys yet. Can anyone make any recommendations or has anyone found anything else that is stimulating to a baby of this age? We already have a bouncer which doesn't seem to entertain her at the moment.

Hi ladies my DS will be 2 weeks tomorrow and I'm still crying everyday :( the slightest little thing and I'm in floods of tears it's horrible. My partner thinks I'm mad because alls I've ever wanted was a baby and doesn't understand what I have to cry about now he's here. I love my baby to bits he's my whole world but I just feel so anxious all the time and feel guilty about the fact that I'm not feeling over the moon all the time. I feel so anxious about my partner going back to work tomorrow and feel like I don't have the confidence to do what I should be doing like going to the supermarket with him etc. it's stupid ...it's like I feel too anxious to take him out when really that's what I want to be doing. I've got to take him into my work this week and have dreamt of this day all through my pregnancy (being able to finally show him off) but in reality the thought of going out with him alone terrifies me. Maybe I'm losing the plot :( I can't go out but I'm going stir crazy sitting in this house all the time and crying. I should be enjoying my beautiful baby and I'm never gonna get this special time back. Before I know it it'll be November and ill be back at work full time.

I've spoken to the mw and she said a lot of ftm's feel like this and I've just gotta get my confidence back but I'm worried I'm gonna feel like this forever it's causing a lot of grief and frustration in my relationship with my OH.

Anyone relate to this? Sorry for babbling

Yesterday I turned 30. Yes, everyone I know 40 and over keeps telling me 30 isn't old. I realize I am not as old as them. But for me, turning 30 has been a moment that I haven't really welcomed. I was afraid of the first real big number change. Moving from my 20-somethings to my 30's. I liked being in my 20's. Am I alone in this? Did anyone else feel uncomfortable with turning 30?

Anyway, so yesterday my family and I spent the day outside, gardening, kids and husband made me a cake, and went out to eat at my favorite restaurant, The Olive Garden. My kids put 30 candles on my cake, which I managed to blow out all with one blow woohoo, but other than that I didn't really say the words "I'm 30 today." But I thought about it A LOT. Then the funny thing that happened this morning:

Got in the van to take my kids to school, turned on the radio and it was a commercial. Then the first song to play? My Next Thirty Years by Tim McGraw. Hah, it's not a sad song. But I couldn't help feeling like it was played for ME. Someone trying to tell me "Hey, make peace with it. It's here, you can't change it." Of course pregnancy hormones got the best of me and tears came to my eyes. But I listened to the lyrics in a new way. And I feel like it helped. I intend to make my next 30 years the best. And I'm going to start them off by having a super healthy beautiful baby in October. Maybe I'll have a couple more babies, maybe I won't. I'm going to enjoy watching my kids grow up and seeing the people they grow up to be, and I'm going to grow really old with the love of my life. And I'm not going to regret a thing.

It's been a long hard road for me. From uncaring doctor, to the next. Irregular bleeding, tons of medication, possibility of infertility...and I am only 26.
Finally, after finding out I was insulin resistant..I have been taking my metformin 1000 mg 2x daily, as well as my daily vitamin. It has made me feel much better ..but I'm going to fast forward to the fun part.

We dtd constantly in april..and now my period is 8 days late. I haven't charted this cycle because,..well,...it drove me INSANE lol. Having irregular cycles I never went over 40 days and I am now on CD 47. I've seen imaginary lines, faint bfp ( or so i thought ) but the one I had this morning was a doozy. I know that blue dye tests are awful and I should steer away, but the one I took last night was as negative as could be. no + sign at all. But then there's this faint thin line that shows (accu-clear) but I ignored it because I want a big fat "LOOK AT ME" line..not that measley squinter. So i sit the test back down and lay back down to try and watch a bit of reality tv. I roll over and grab the test and it was much more visible. I've never seen an evap that blaring. How evil is that? to taunt me...or could it be my little bean?

Give me some info ladies. As you can see I have already lost my mind lol but I would love to know if this has happened to anyone else?

Begging hubby to be for a digi.

AF is due 5/25 and I'm hoping the witch stays away and I got my BFP. Anyone else ever test BFN at 8DPO and still end up with their BFP? How is everyone's charts looking this month? Anyone else feel like they still have a chance? I'm going crazy over here

He does have a lot of nappies which are rather full with wee, but I was expecting to see a lot more poo filled nappies ?

Does the lack of them mean its not working effectively ?

I know I really just need to speak to a doctor, but I just moved out of state so am waiting for a call back from the base doctor about my blood test.

I started bleeding on mother's day (May 12th). My tests were light and I was only about 5 weeks pregnant. HCG was 17 on May 8th. Bled for about 5 days and did pass clots. On a whim, I took a test last night and it was positive (digi and frer and some cheapies). Confused, I took another this morning. MUCH darker than last nights.

Last nights test was about as dark as my tests has ever gotten.

I did have a blood test done on Friday at my new doc just to make sure that the hcg was down to zero (but being that it was only 17 a few days before I miscarried, we were all sure it would be). What could this be?

So I've been having strong Braxton Hicks every 5 minutes lasting about 30 seconds!

They're pretty unpleasant and some are painful with pain coming from my back. Sometimes it feels like my hip bones are being squeezed together.

It's uncomfortable but I'm so excited that something might happen (wishful thinking). Baby is also going crazy and thrashing about in my tummy!

Pretty pointless thread but is every 5 minutes too close together?? They're definitely not the real deal so I'm not too concerned at this stage.

At my last scan (33 weeks) thr smaller twin eas estimated at 3lbs 3oz and the other twin was 4lbs 11oz. They are still monitering on the non stress test daily and still not showing any signs of distress. My doctor has said he can let me go to 36 weeks but i think even this is early and im worried about them being in NICU especially if just one twin has to stay i would feel so awful leaving them, also worried about the effects of bringing them out early might have? Just wondered if any other twin mummy's could share any similar experiences so i know what to prepare for and try put my mind at rest

My lo is 22 months. We allow her a little bit of tv. Usually one programme in morning and one in evening. I never have tv on except if she is napping i will watch one of my programmes ( which is only 3 a week i watch regularly) she will watch more tv with dh when im having bath. I told dh i wanted to see what she was like with no tv as she has been struggling at bed time and having a few tantrums and acting up( she watched more tv than usual last week as both of us were ill, her tantrums are never to bad) today she has been hapilly playing, not one sign of tears. Didnt try to climb sofa to get to our fish tank, went off easily for nap and talking loads. She never watches tv for long periods so am shocked. Hope it goes as well tonight. She has been playing with me and on own, come up and asked for book and for her ball and also sat in my lap and asked for row row. Even when i took crayons off her when she was about to draw on wall we had no fuss i just gave her a sticker she looked up and said thankyou. Can two short sessions of tv half an hour a day usually make such a difference

I got a call from hospital today regarding my high levels of HCG. It was 25,000 at 5+4 weeks. They want to see me tomorrow to retest and to speak to a Dr. They are concerned it is an indicator of a complication, possible ectopic or molar pregnancy. I asked whether it could mean a multiple pregnancy of which she said it could but they need to rule out the others first...

So for those that knew your early hcg levels, were they high with your multiples? Im really worrying and am looking for something to give me hope.

Bah I feel guilty for saying that.

Just had our 21 week scan - it didn't exactly go according to plan. Important bits - baby is fine, all normal, no sign of any abnormalities. Obviously that's the biggest relief.

I had a funny turn in the middle of the scan, got all hot, sweaty, felt sick and faint - had to ask the guy to stop and send DH for a glass of water. I let the guy continue but couldn't look at the screen - just focused on the blinking lights on his keyboard to try and get the nausea under control.

Then the guy forced me to look at the screen to show us the gender - and we are having a baby girl. Now I am sure this time tomorrow I will be excited but DH and I had always said if there was a little order form we'd tick the boy box. We're just not girly people. DH is into football and cars and I am a computer engineer. I am terrified of having this girly princess who wants advice on clothes and makeup and hair dos and I won't have a clue. I had been convinced it was a boy all along, as had my Mum and sister.

And to finally round it all off, the guy said she was sat awkwardly and couldn't get any nice pics of her for us. Obviously he got all the important stuff which is the main thing but it would be nice to have a pretty scan photo to look at you know? Especially as I was too ill to look at the screen.

So now I am feeling guilty for feeling like this. And all the relatives will be phoning soon to ask how it went and we'll have to tell them and they all know we were hoping for a boy.

Trying to focus on the positives - I had said the other day when we drove past a field of daisies that if I had a girl I wanted to sit and teach her to make daisy chains. So at least I get to do that :) And I have 2 nieces already so she will have little friends. And we finally came up with a lovely girls name last night - Louise Claire.

Tell me all the wonderful things you are looking forward to doing with your baby girls!

Hi!
I start uni in September and will be getting a childcare grant to help cover nursery fees etc. Dd has a place at nursery starting in September.
I'm so confused how the childcare grant works. The nursery is pay a month in advance, but the childcare grant says it pays over 3 intervals throughout the term, so how does that work out?
I'm awful with money and this is all goin completely over my head (how I actually got into uni I do not know).
If someone who gets or knows about the childcare grant could give me any advice I'd be extremely grateful!
Thank you :)

I've never been a big eater, even before getting pregnant. I would eat maybe 2-3 times a day, usually only 2.

The first few months of being pregnant I had NO appetite as everything made me nauseous, but I forced myself to eat light meals a few times a day.

Once the ms subsided, I expected to have a bigger appetite, more cravings, etc. But I haven't. I still only eat 2-3 times a day. Nothing has changed. I don't feel very hungry and I'm STILL having to force myself to eat because I really could go all day without eating a single thing.
When I DO eat, it seems like only a few bites of something and I'm stuffed and can't eat anymore.

HOWEVER, yesterday I felt like I couldn't get ENOUGH food! The first time this entire pregnancy I've actually been HUNGRY. Today, I feel the same way! Its only 10:00am and I'm STARVING.

This happen to anyone else?

Nursery mentioned today that they thought megan might have a water infection? She has recently started wetting herself, which is very unusual for her - even when potty training she never had an accident. She has probably done it seven times in the past week, including twice today. Her keyworker also said she thought megs wee smelt strong today?

Meg has been a little unwell the past week, full of cold and a bad cough, but no temperature. The thing is the docs can't get her in until Friday, do u think I should take her to the walk in centre? I don't no whether it might just be a potty training regression. She is three and was potty trained in feb

This isn't exactly a pregnancy related post but I'm sooo frightened :( I've noticed I have a really fowl smelling discharge (sorry for tmi) anyway I thought it may of been Bacterial Vaginosis so I had a swab done and had it sent off..the results came back completely normal showed absolutely nothing and the doctor said they check for everything. I then made the mistake of going on google and one of the early signs of cervical cancer is a bad smelling discharge so now I'm absolutely panic stricken. I'm only 23 so have not started going for routine smears yet. I'm so scared does anybody have any proper knowledge on the subject? I haven't had any abnormal bleeding or anything like that, I just don't Understand how I can have this smell yet my swabs are normal :-/ xxx

I'm due at the end of October with my second son. DS #1 will be 19 months old.

My husband's parents have a wedding to go to in Mexico the 2nd week of November and they want to bring DS#1 for the week. At first, I thought this would be a good idea -- would give me a week with the newborn to just be with him and deal with all that without having to worry about my toddler.

But thinking about it more, I wonder, is all this change all at the same time going to negatively affect DS#1? Should I instead try to keep all his routines exactly the same for at least a couple months after #2 is born so he can have some time to adjust?

I'm really afraid shipping him off with his grandparents for a week RIGHT after the birth of #2 will send a bad message and totally throw him off, but may he's too young to even care or remember later?

Do you ladies have thoughts on this? Any with 2 under 2 have any advice?

ok ladies im stuck here and don't know what to do, usual indian tradition (and it being my 1st baby) ladies usually go and stay at their mums house after the baby is born, due to my husband having 2 weeks paternity leave when baby arrives i told my mum i would come and stay for a week when he goes back to work as i would like it to be just the 2 of us bonding with baby plus getting used to breastfeeding.
Here's the dilema my husband has just told me that his mum (who lives in the next street) would like us to go and stay there for a few nights straight from the hospital how do i deal with this?? like i said i'd like to be in my own house to settle with baby and breastfeeding, she can come here weneva she wants, i would feel uncomfortable there because of the breastfeeding situation it would be so awkward and how can i go and stay there when i delayed my mum for the exact reasons mentioned i'd feel so bad it would be like i turned my mum down for her my MIL has 2 other grandchildren the youngest born last year and her daughter (my SIL) stayed with her for a week after the birth. This is my mums first grandchild i just feel it would be unfair

i know this is pretty common, but the doc office called and said our blood test - believe it was the AFP - came back positive for high risk of Down. Both me and my husband are over 35 so i knew there was that chance in the beginning, but i am really hoping for a healthy baby. I don't know the number as far as what the risk is, but both of us are worried. Either way, we will care and love the baby, but just knowing there is a lifetime of health issues and special needs is stressful. We go this Wednesday to go over test results. uggggg.

Last Tuesday I went to my obgyn with pelvic pressure and was diagnosed with a UTI. Well by saturday it wasnt better so I called the dr and she said my culture hadnt come back yet so I called her office today and she said according to it the antibiotic they gave me (macrobid) it should have made it better. Well today is my last day of antibiotics and it IS NOT BETTER

Besides the need to pee alot I have also had some itching and been very swollen down there.

Now she said it could be Bacterial Vaginosis! She is calling me in some metrogel to insert either 3 or 5 nights in a row. I am scared to death of pre term labor. I am just now 24 weeks today.

The crappy part is, I go wednesday for our 4d ultrasound but I cant even look forward to it because I am so worried about the possible BV and possible pre term labor.

Has anyone else had any experience with any of this??

Hiya ladies

19 months ago I had a planned csection with my lg which went all too well. Lol. The team I had were fab (wish I could have the same surgeon and team), 6 hours after they gave me a wash and got me into the chair, next day catheter out and other than a bit of pulling on my left side mainly when sitting to standing and vice versa I think I did well. Lol. They moved us to proper ward and I walked there and they said I did really well. The day after csection I had no pain relief for 11 hours as pharmacy had my meds sheet but I did ok, still managed to jump in the shower etc. 2 days after c section came home and did ok, stopped pain reloef as made me drowsy. 5 days after csection went to pizza hut :D I was determined toget up and about but not over do it and I am proud of how I did BUT I am wondering can I do as well second time round. Lol. I had disolvable inside sutures (can I request these this time round?) i kept wound clean and used a maternity sanitary pad across my wound with big knickers over the top to keep it protected etc.

For those who have had more than 1 csection can I request disolvable stitches, can I request the same surgeon lol. Can I do as good second time round or was I too lucky?!

okay so i have done some research and it looks pretty certain to me that if a man has a hot bath it can reduce his :spermy: by millions and make him infertile.

so my boyfriend has a steaming hot bath every single evening.. and we only have sex in the evening after his bath this is due to his busy work schedule and he gets very dirty......

i have only fallen pregnant twice both sadly ended in miscarriage. :sad2:

the first time i fell preg was in 2010 and we had sex in the day time........ on holiday
the 2nd time i fell preg was in 2012 and we had sex in the day time......... home from work due to being ill

i have only just released this pattern.
so we have decided to have sex BEFORE his RED HOT BATHS.

(we tend to not have sex at the wkends as hes either working or on a fishing trip and i'm doing :dishes:
lol :loopy:

I can't believe I'm 19 weeks today! Where has the time gone? With Aiden, it seemed like time dragged by and I couldn't wait to move from trimester to trimester and now it's just flying by. Maybe things are just busier this pregnancy with a 13 month old and business being busier than last year...I'm not sure.

Does it seem like it's going fast to anyone else? I'm so excited to meet my daughter, but I'm not ready to deal with labor again quite yet. SLOW DOWN time!

AF appeared last Thursday on CD 27 but was very light. Friday I only used one tampon all day and then nothing since, it just stopped. Today is Monday and when wiping there is 'fresh' blood but not enough to require a tampon or pad. I'm just confused as it seems to be on and off?!
