Hi ladies

I've talked to my HV about my LO waking in the night since 4 months, so the past 5 weeks. He doesn't wake to feed only to roll, kick and play.

She said it might be an idea to put him in his own room now as like adults he goes through a light sleep stage in the night and so if he hears me or my partner stirring or senses that we're there he will then wake and want to play. If he's in his own room he will probably just go back to sleep on his own. She said forget about putting the monitor in there, if he needs me he will let me know.

I'm a little scared to do this and of course will miss waking and seeing my little man laid next to me in his cot. Obviously I know it needs to be done at some point.

When did your LO's go in their own room and was it for any reasons similar to mine? Did it work?

my hv wouldnt help so i went to the doctors, my daughter and i have been dairy free for a month now and its working, no eczema, no nappy rash, no mucus poos, still v wet but not constant anymore.
However the last doc i saw talked about referring to dietician to help with weaning and reintroducing. This doctor said just try her on milk again and again, also i wanted a 'formula' to make up food with and to start the process of her being less dependant on me. Well she just said use a normal one. Is this not going to just start things off again? How can being milk free for a month be enough to then just restart it?
any advice would be welcome, im so confused now!¬

So maybe this is a stupid question, but how many of your toddlers have already had honey?

I know it's "OK" for them to have it after a year old, but as soon as I heard the word "botulism" I was afraid to give it to my LO. DH really likes it but hasn't been eating it since DS pretty much wants to try everything we have, and when DS turned 1 DH and I agreed we'd let DS try it when he turned 2...

... so he turns 2 in a little over a week, but I'm still feeling a little apprehensive about giving it to him.

So how many of your toddlers have had honey? What did they have it on, and did they like it?

Thanks :flower:

Hi ladies
I thought only fair to update you on my 1/5 chance of downs test.
Nt was 2.4mm bloods all within normal range but age 39 threw it out!

I had cvs done last Thursday
Results back on Tuesday

Unfortunately I was that 1 chance

For my family the decision I made may not be other people's but I decided to terminate yesterday

I want to thank everyone for their support and this forum is great, full of wonderful ladies :-)

I won't be getting pregnant again I've decided to move on in a different direction in life, as my daughter is 17 and I'm blessed with Chloe

If anyone has any questions/worries please just ask, I will always talk you through my story as I've stalked so many others

Good luck in all your pregnancies xxx

I'm confused about whether I can feed my almost 8 month old wheat cereal. I keep reading that wheat should be avoided before baby is 1 for possible allergic reactions. But there are wheat cereals out there that are for 6+ mo babies.. and teething biscuits and pasta contain wheat too and they're commonly given way before 1. (Though one of my liitle cousins did get an allergic reaction to arrowroot teething cookies when he was a baby. His lips swelled up.) But there have been studies that say introducing grains too late can increase the risk of allergies to them. I'm confused..

My lo already eats rice and oat cereal with no problem. Any advice? Thanks!

I dont mean as in baby isnt moving, I know he is because my stomach looks like a wave machine when hes shifting about and I can see a foot or somthing stick up every know and then.
They look like pretty strong regular movements but I just cant seem to feel most of them anymore.
The big hefty kicks I still feel and some of his daily movements but its just weird to see my stomach going like mad and not feel it.
plus another thing that makes it odd is I have felt him since 11 weeks so to not feel these bigger movements is weird.
Im putting it down to maybe hes shifted down and just in a numb area (i have random nerve damage due to spina bifida) it cant be because the placenta is in the way because thats on the back.
Im not concerned because I know hes fine with the amount of movement I see and still feel alot just not all of it.

Hi ladies. Just looking for a little reassurance because I feel awful.

My husband and I left town for a few days (five nights to be exact) for a wedding. Our son is 4 months old. We thought about bringing LO with us, but we were afraid the time change, the dragging him around and the stifling hot weather where we were going would be worse for him than just leaving him in the very capable hands of grandma and grandpa. He's a really easygoing kid and we called and checked on him constantly - no problems, he slept/ate fine.

Now though I have this fear (maybe its stupid) that he will have forgotten us, or that we've damaged our bond somehow. I don't know. We just got him back tonight and normally I can put him down easily, but he cried and acted like he wanted no part of me (although it WAS an hour past bedtime and he did smile his head off when he first heard my voice).

I don't know. I left him with my parents (who he knows well) because I genuinely thought it would be best for him. But now I just feel like a crappy mother and guilty for having enjoyed myself. Am I being overly sensitive? Anyone else have a similar experience?

I was due AF on 12th June. but I'm not 100% about that.
Tested with a Poundland test on sunday evening BFN
Tested this morning (FMU) and got this.
1st photo is about 3 minutes after test although a line did begin to appear quickly before the time limit, 2nd is me taking it apart (so its the vertical line we're looking for)
I'm trying to think if I viewed this on someone else's post I'd say watch out for evaps and test again in a day or so but surely an evap wouldnt have made a line straight away??

I'm 8 weeks pregnant...

Just wondering what others' experiences have been like, and advice from parents who have been there certainly wouldn't hurt!

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and vegan, my husband is a vegetarian, and we're super-confident that even if meat grew on trees that this is still the healthiest thing I can do for our baby! We're in the process of announcing our pregnancy, and I've already had someone ask if I'm going to start eating meat again. I'm hoping that that's not going to happen often while I'm pregnant, or that I'm going to keep hearing about the couple in France whose baby died and everyone blamed on their vegan lifestyle, when it was really the parents not taking her to the doctor when she got sick.

After the birth, we do plan on letting our child choose, but only when they're old enough to make an educated decision, and we do plan on, from the time they're 3 or so, explaining to them where animal products come from and how they're produced, in an age-appropriate way. Until they can choose, no meat, but if they want to have a slice of veg pizza or cake at someone's party, we're not too bothered. Once they can choose, we're still going to keep our house a meat free zone, and make them use their allowance money to buy meat if they still want it.

Our beliefs are controversial to most people, of course, but I'm confident that not only is it setting them up for a healthier than average lifestyle, but also that awareness of the world around them is important. :-)

So on top of his 2am/3am feed and his 5:45am/6am wake time, for the past 3 mornings he's woken up from around 4am! I go in, give him his dummy, he falls asleep for 10 minutes and it starts again!

He can't be hungry, but he's definitely tired because I brought him in my bed yday, gave him an ounce of milk and he fell back to sleep for almost 2 hrs!

He goes to bed 7-7:30, he had a 2hr nap yday, so why is he waking up? Thankfully my mum had him for the day anyway today, so now I am going to catch up on some sleep but I can't go on like this, neither can oh who was shattered for work today!

Anyone offer any advice, solutions, or even just sympathy haha?

Generally my boobs have been warm to touch... slightly bigger, one nipple went large and darker...

Erm breathless when I wouldn't normally be...

Okay so after some pressure from my mum I've decided to give potty training a go with cole. One of our major challenges is his language delay. He only has 5 words at the min however his understanding is fine. I've explained all about the potty and he knows that he should do pee pees and poos in there. Yesterday we had 2 pee pees in the potty and 3 accidents on the floor. Not bad for a first day.

Well today it's a different story he won't entertain going to the potty at all and is saying no all the time.

Should I just per severe? He's had no accidents today so far.

Okay, rant time. I feel like the only time I ever post a thread is when I have to rant lol, but you ladies are amazing listeners! Essentially, I'm starting to feel more like an incubator than a person. Everyone except for OH is making me feel this way. It's getting to the point where I just want to crawl into a hole until I give birth, because I can't take it anymore. I don't think anyone is being intentionally hurtful, and it isn't like I'm expecting a bunch of attention on myself when there's a new baby on the way, but it really sucks and it's starting to seriously piss me off.

For starters, my grandma. I love her, I really do, and I know she's trying to be helpful in her own annoying way... But if she tries explaining something to me one more time, I'm going to freak out. I don't know if she thinks I'm going to be an incompetent mother if she doesn't tell me every little thing, but it sure does feel that way. For instance, we were out at garage sales the other weekend looking for baby stuff, and I ended up buying a play mat. For the next ten minutes she went on and on about how to use it. Thanks for that information, Granny... Totally couldn't figure that one out for myself if I didn't already know. :dohh: And it's like every little thing that pops into her head, she has to give me tips on. If they were real, helpful tips, I wouldn't have such an issue with it. But when it's over stupid crap, oh dear God it takes everything I have not to flip out.

Oh, then this past weekend, I slipped and fell on my knees pretty hard. LO was fine, of course, but I was in a lot of pain and had to sit there for a few minutes before I could even get back up. My aunt was all concerned about it, which was thoughtful, and then she goes "if this happened a few months ago, I wouldn't have even cared". Wow, thank you. It's great you care about the well-being of my child, but that was just really rude. And a number of my relatives have said, "Oh, now that you're having this baby no one is going to care about you anymore." Well alrighty then. Thanks for that... Makes me feel really great about myself. Like I said, I'm not asking for people to fawn over me or give me a bunch of attention - but I'd still like to feel human instead of a walking incubator or simply the 'caretaker' of my daughter.

Then! This is my favorite. OH's parents are already doing the whole entitled grandparents bs I was afraid of. "We're the grandparents, so we're going to get her whenever we want." Um, haha, no. That's not how it works. Despite the fact I'm eighteen and a 'young mom', I'm still Lilia's mother. I will decide who she sees, and when. I can already tell that there's going to be this huge battle over who gets to spend time with her, and I just won't have it. I'm already not telling anyone which apartment number I'm moving in to because I don't want people showing up at my house expecting to take off with my child. No way in hell that's going to happen. I mean, really. Actually saying "we're the grandparents so we get her whenever we want". I'm half-tempted to just say that no one can see her until something like the holidays. ](*,)

I'm just so aggravated by all of this, and I'm about to freaking explode on everyone, which won't be pretty. Am I overreacting to this, or am I at least partly justified to be pissed?

Hi, Im a new member on this site. My husband and I are trying to conceive. 2 months ago I missed my period. The next month I got my period, but it was different and lighter then normal. This last month I started bleeding really heavily and having cramps I never felt before. I called my GYNO and spoke to the on call doctor who didnt seem to care much about what I was saying. I took a loratab that i was perscribed for the pain. I went to sleep about 11 that night and woke up at 4 in the morning cramping really badly. I went to the restroom and when I looked down into the toilet there was a white/clear blob in the bottom mixed with the gush of blood. Im young, and confused, and I HATE my GYNO because he doesnt listen to anything I say, so I need to know what that might have been. If it was what I was thinking it probably was.

Anyone else finding people just not understanding how you're feeling atm?

I'm really hugely bloated at 8 weeks (could be 12.....waiting for scan!) it's quite noticeable. My back is killing, not to mention my boobs. I'm constantly nauseous unless I'm eating and the exhaustion is killing me, keeping falling asleep at my desk!

Now I know I may moan a little about how uncomfortable I am right now but it feels like people at work think I'm just putting it on or something, I think some of them have forgotten how difficult the first few months are on the body. Which of course then gets my hormones going so I want to cry! Crazy.

Anyways just thought I'd vent a bit on here to you ladies who will relate a bit better :-) x

I know of at least a couple of ladies on here trying to lose weight whilst WTT but just wondered if there were any more out there? :flower:

My BMI is currently in the obese category and my goal is to get it into the normal category before trying for a baby. That means a loss of at least 3 stone 3 lbs. I started at SW last month and have lost 9lbs so far.

The sooner i can shift this weight the sooner we can start TTC, I have spoken to DH and literally nothing else is holding us back, i just want to be healthy.

The problem is, even with TTC as an aim for my weight loss, I still find it very hard to stay motivated! Just thought if anyone else was in the same boat we could all support each other? xx

Hi all,

Moved over yesterday and have been scanning through some threads and wondered if anyone can help me.

So far I think I understand when I get BH sometimes I get a pressure type build up and a release (they're fairly rare and happen when bubs has been kicking a lot) other times I just touch my tum and it's rock hard. Are these BH?

Also I saw on here about raspberry leaf tea? Why should I take it and when? What does it do?

The last two nights we have been trying to put isaac in his own cot. He usually sleeps with me and goes to bed at half 7, sleeps until 2/3am although sometimes is disturbed when we go to bed. We dont go to bed until 10ish so i know he can pass through sleep cycles without me. The first night was a disaster and he didnt sleep longer than an hour at a time, last night he slept the first 2 hours after i got him to sleep with just a hand on his back for reassurance. After this he was up so often i sometimes didnt make it back to sleep before he woke up again. I dont know what to do! I wrapped our bedsheets around his mattress and played ewan the dream sheep but that turns itself off after 20 mins so isnt much help. The only other thing i can think of is those first two hours is was fairly light still then went dark. I had a lamp on dim setting in his room but oh turned it off when he went to settle him coz he says it costs too much.
I dont know what to try next. Can anyone help me please!!!

It's nothing unusal in this house with dd however we are now on another level and I don't know what to do - I do think she is playing me a bit

I give her a choice of food, she chooses I make it for her to nibble it and say I don't want it them to ask for something else/walk away and ask for biscuit/jelly ect after, I have started to say no and that she has to eat what she asked for - she flatly refuses ...

She is refusing food she likes so ive tried a few different things incase she is bored - she won't touch it. I know everyone says that they will eat if hungry but she is soo stubborn , like now She's siting on the sofa refusing to eat the wetabix she asked for and promised to eat

What can I do ?

Im doing well, back to normal, getting the hang of things now.
Mik is doing great, shes generally a very happy baby! The longest shes slept without fussing or anything was around 7 hours. Shes smiling, holding her head up pretty good, grasping her bottle and toys and soothie too. She received her shots back in may, 4 of em! She weighs about 11lbs and is around 22 inches.

Anywho, Can't wait to hear about u and ur little ones :)

I know it's almost the worst time/circumstances but I'm actually getting excited. Since I wasn't planning this I won't be too devastated if af comes. But I just went and took a shower and my nipples are SO pink, almost bright red, and my boobs are much bigger and they hurt when I was vigorously scrubbing my hair because they shook a little. Still no flow after my one bizarre dot/spotting, feeling nauseas again (though I just made a nice soothing cabbage soup which helped) and I'm getting tired and ready to go to sleep again. Really it's anyone's best guess right now but I'm actually getting excited because it seems possible that I actually could be though I'm not going to say that assertively because whenever I do I get af like the next day and my body is like " :haha: got you AGAIN!" So I'll just say that these symptoms seem really promising and either way are definitely indicators of SOMETHING hormonal going on in my body! And possibly the fact that my attitude changed about the possibility of being pregnant could even be an indication.

Any of you girls feeling like this is it for you, too? :hugs:

Hi all! I am 20, I have been married for almost a year now and ttc most of that time. I have had one miscarriage. My cycles are usually around 30 days but can be up to 38 days. I took a test last week at about 33 days and got a BFN but still have a no show. I am planning on testing again next week and am freaking out. I feel like I have been having signs but then again I have been wanting a baby for so long now that I feel unsure about how I feel, if that makes any sense

I had a day and a half or so of very light spotting (around cycle day 26 I think)
I have been extremely emotional lately (I cry about everything even if its not even sad)
I am having lower back pain and slight cramping
I have been exhausted
I am extremely nauseous all the time
Smells are really bothering me (even when others can't smell them)
I have been peeing all the time
I am bloated (Which I never get with my period)
I have food aversions and cravings
My breasts are so sore (especially my nipples) that I have to sleep in a bra and hubby can't touch me

What do you all think?

You know you're obsessing over them anyway lol. It's why we're on this board.

There are already other threads on this going by dpo but those threads are so huge. This is just sort of for fun/advice anyway.

I have... no clue in the universe what cd I'm on, what dpo... just dtd two weeks ago, the day after I had very very fertile (look and texture) cm and now having some unusual things! I'm definitely experiencing this all physically, not imagining it. Could be from lots of things including PMS but don't quite think so:

- Cramping starting about a week ago.
- Keep thinking about to get af because of cramping, and no flow
- Spotted blood yesterday, just one tiny drop on my undies and one on toilet seat. Nothing since. Def from vijay jay because the drop was wet and right underneath the lady parts and not the rump parts lol
- Trouble waking up in the morning and tired early
- Fast heartbeat even when laying down and resting for a long time
- Starting today, sore boobs. Feel heavy, fuller, bigger, swollen... not as painful as they got in last pregnancy but irritated for sure.
- Also with last pregnancy had heightened smell pretty early. Today I started to notice smells much more
- Nausea, was worse like 4-5 days ago. Started drinking peppermint tea for it. Had to leave a church event suddenly last Sunday because the nausea hit me and I thought I had stomach flu, almost lost it everywhere
- That same day, Sunday, I had a massive dip in mood very suddenly, like, was dancing around all happy then an hour or less later, in a bathroom stall crying and feeling like I wanted to die, I couldn't do anything right, feeling unworthy, feeling sad, depressed, etc. Then in the days following this, felt very angry/irritated very easily. I have kept it under control but I have snapped at people, especially when driving lol
- I think this is just from my whey protein shakes I started drinking a bit ago but I am gassy... and it smells LOL, so sorry. This whole list is TMI
- Headaches.

One of my employees is 6 months pregnant and she thinks I am. What are your symptoms?

:flower:

I just want it to be over and done with so I can get back to some form of normality. Should I wait and let nature run its course? It took two weeks last time and couldnt be away from the bathroom. I want to get back to work as soon as possible. Or should I go for one of the other options if offered?

What is the recovery time on each of the other options? How long does the bleeding last? What's the pain like on each?

We're off on holiday in just over three weeks and I don't want to still be going through it then.

Hi all,

I am almost 18 weeks with MCDA twins and just wondering if anyone has been thru pre-eclampsia.
I do have an appt next week so plan on bringing this all up with them but dont want to bother calling them if im just over thinking it.

I have had a constant headache for almost a week know and someone mentioned that it may be an early pre-E sign..
My blood pressure was slightly raised when i saw my DR last (about 3 weeks ago) but she didnt seem to worried.
I have checked my BP yesterday and it was 145/95, my normal BP is about 120/80 so it is definetly raised.
I am going to do it the same time every day and just monitor it.
Ive had a little look at Dr google (silly i know) and a couple of the other signs are ringing bells too.

Dizziness - have had it the whole time (passed out twice before 12 weeks)
dark urine - despite drinking between 2 and 3 litres of water a day
headaches -
and anxiety.. which i used to get pretty bad a few years ago so didnt think much of..

Sorry for the essay..

It does say that normally it occurs towards the end of pregnancy so maybe im just overthinking it and its all just part of carrying 2 babies?!

TIA x

We just purchased a house, but have not moved in yet. A friend of mine offered to fix up the hardwood floors. I do not know the official terminology, but he sanding them and putting on polyurethane. How safe is it for me to be around the odor? I can be out of the house for as long as possible, if I HAVE to. Does anyone know how long that smell lingers? Are there still safety issues after the smell dissipates? He said he can use either water or oil based, but from what I read the oil-based is a much stronger smell (but looks better). Any advice would be appreciated!

Just wondered if anyone else was in childcare limbo for when the time comes to give birth and what your plans were? I'm really starting to get stressed now about maybe having to give birth by myself (and the midwife of course) if we can't sort something out soon:nope:.

In our situation DD has never been looked after by other people apart from a couple of times by my mum, who lives over the other side of the world and though she is arriving here for a month on the 20th August (LO is due on the 24th), the chances are that the baby might decide to arrive before that, which would leave us stuck. The only other time was when DH and I went out one evening a couple of months back and SIL came to babysit for a few hours, but that was after DD was already in bed, so never even knew we weren't there.

We do have some of DH's family fairly local to us, but they barely ever see DD (most of them every few months for an hour or two if that with lots of other people around), so think it would be difficult to leave DD with them for what could be several hours, plus they all work anyway, so wouldn't be any good if it happened during the day. The other option is my sister, but she's just given birth herself yesterday and also has a very high maintenance 4-year-old, so can't just drop everything to drive to ours, which is about 30 minute drive.

I've thought about contacting nanny agencies, but don't really know if they'd have any sort of a service to cover this scenario, and wouldn't really feel happy to leave DD with a complete stranger anyway as it's bound to be a stressful time for her already anyway:shrug:.

Any ideas that anyone may have, would be much appreciated.

I know its not long but I want to make sure I am doing everything I can. But this whole process is confusing and a lot harder then I thought it would be. I started my period this month on June 1st and ended on June 5th. I started a ovulation kit and yesterday on June 18th my line was darker then the one on the stick always. So...does this mean I ovulated yesterday or what? And when do you need to have sex and how many times? Every day or every other day??

Im sorry this is another sleep thread.

I'm so so so tired, I'm crying quietly becos I don't want DH or mum to worry about me.

My LO is what they called a "spirited baby". She doesn't nap anywhere with any sort of distraction, and does not nap more than 30mins. I have long accepted that and have no expectations for sttn.

I really don't mind waking up and feed her at night coz I feel she needs it, she snacks during the day and obviously needs to make up for it. In the last two weeks, she's waking up an hr after being put down from feeding. So a typical night goes 6:30 feed asleep by 7:15, wake 9:30 for a drink (finishes at 10) wakes again at 11, needs to pat and shush to settle, wakes again at 2:30/3, feed for 30mins then sleep till 4:30 ish, then wakes hourly till 6:30. I tried just ignoring her at 3, she moans on and off and I feel sorry for her not sleeping.

Just a few weeks ago she was doing 11-5 for a few days, giving me false hope.

I have ran out of excuses for her, she self settles at night, she has two solid meals a day, she's not in a wonder week, doesn't seem like she's working on a milestone, she's not teething, ... I just don't get it.

I'm so tired that I have difficulty lifting her out of her cot, like my arms are filled with lead.

What should I do? Is it a phase? In the morning she's back to her sweet smiley self, I feel bad for doing cc but I think I'm heading down that way.

Sorry abt this long winded rant, I just need to get it out :cry:

Am about 18.5 weeks and have been told I have an anterior placenta and it will take until im further along to feel movements. However, here I lie in bed - unable to sleep because I am pretty sure I'm being whacked repeatedly by the little one!

This may seem stupid but whatever it is I'm feeling is very low down on my stomach, well below where my pants line is, and far to the right. It feels like a sharp jabbing poke, very sporadically and only lasts a second or too.....not severely painful, but startling. Sorry for the dumb question but - is this what a kick feels like? Or movement?? I feel ridiculous asking this but it's my first baby and I'm super confused with the whole placenta thing!

Anyone have any insight on this? :hugs:

OH and I have been talking a lot about me going back to work after the baby is born. We were thinking when the baby is about 8 months or so. I don't really have much of a choice because at the moment, my unemployment is only good until this November and it will be hard enough with only one income for those few months. I was told by the unemployment office to apply for maternity leave between 10-8 weeks before the baby's due date but I have a hard time believing they will give it to me...I hope I'm wrong tho! The reason for me being on unemployment so soon as a pose to waiting to go on maternity leave is because the business i was working for closed down when I was 3 months pregnant. So, unless by some miracle they allow me to switch over to maternity leave soon, I will be left with no choice but to go back to work sooner then I hoped.

I will be breast feeding. It's very important to me and there is no way I'm going to give it up for anything. I will be pumping as well so my goal is to try to breast feed and bottle feed so she is able to use to both. But obviously i wont be introducing bottles until breast feeding is well established first. OH and I will be getting married next spring so she will have to be able to take a bottle by this time as we will be gone for week (of course being still feed breast milk).

As for when i go back to work, I worry that I will not be able to go pump any time I need to and that I will lose my milk supply.

Is it possible for me to work and still continue to breast feed?

I just recently started taking EPO (2000mg) to increase my ewcm as I have little to none of it, I am going to be taking it up until O. I am also drinking 1 cup of green tea per day (I really don't like green tea lol). Has anybody tried either of these for EWCM?? Any other suggestions for increasing it??
Thanks!!

Title says it all ladies. No condoms and no pull-out method leaves a distinct scent down below. Anyone else have an unpleasant vaginal smell that they know is from OH ejaculation? and what do you do about it?

I don't have an infection, itching or burning or anything of the sort.

Couple of things - I try NOT to shower when BD that day. Not just for an hour after BD but the rest of the day. If no BD for days then no odor.

Likely a very upset PH, but wondering if anyone else has this and what they do about it?

she is temping as well as using opk.

the last 5 cycles have been:23, 25, 29, 23, 26 days
so an avg of 25days

she got a smiley face on her opk on cd 15 and ff indicated ovulation on cd 17, then 7dpo (cd 24) she got a bit spotting, then nothing, then a bit spotting the following day (cd8) then nothing.

she has been spooting cd 24, 25, 26(today) but just when she wipes. her temp stayed up. until this morning when it droped below coverline but still no af.

she typically only spots the day of her period not 3 days as this month.

what is going on. do you all think she will get af? what are your thoughts around the info presented?

please help her get some in site. should she test? or is this an indication on short lp?

thank you so much for any and all inputs.

Hello all!

So this is our first month of really trying to get pregnant! I didn't chart or use OPK's because I didn't see the point as long as we were BD'ing regularly. 2 months ago we tried but it was difficult because my husband was away for work when I was ovulating and we were only able to DTD once (pretty sure ovulation had already passed). So I am either 9 or 10 DPO. I had light brown spotting in my underwear yesterday. (TMI, sorry). Also over the weekend I had dreams that I had taken multiple pregnancy tests and they were all positive! Today when I went to use the restroom...I wasn't constipated but it was definitely harder to go than usual. We didn't expect it to happen this month for a few reasons. Number one being that I was under a TON of stress!!! Literally after ovulation it was one thing after the next. At one point I was cuddled in a closet hiding from a tornado down the road so that took a toll on me. I had done so much research and convinced myself that you can't get pregnant during stressful times. I even allowed myself a glass of wine since I thought I blew my chances. My breasts are sore but no more sore than they usually are for my period. We BD'd on CD 11, 12, 13, and 15. Used no lubes. I elevated my hips for 15 minutes each time. I have been taking prenatal vitamins for about 4 months and eating extremely healthy and organic. Last night after finishing dinner I did find myself having hunger pains but that's also not too unlikely for me right before my period. Oh and ONE more thing (sorry this is all over the place I am still shaking)...I had an overwhelming urge to test today. I knew it was too early and it was 8:30 at night so far from my FMU but something told me to do it. I am praying for all you ttc and baby dust to all!! :)

My lo will be 21 months soon and i've noticed a sudden shift in her behavior, she throws numerous tantruns and marjoity of the time i leave her until she calms down, especially if its because she can't have her way. If shes frustrated because she can't figure out something i hop in to assist her and help her out. Lately she' s. Been in the testing phase and does things that are dangerous . Such as touching the stove, throwing object and hitting. I said originally i.never wanted to spank but i have ,noticed My patience is thin and i tap her hand or arm.we were at a resturant and she started throwing food at people, i tried redirecting to the coloring sheet we'd recieved. Offering snacks and even tried to be fully attentive to her , still she threw and ate crayons . I tapped her on the arm twice and i thought ok, no more resturants. My boss whom i ate with and a co worker made comments in regards to me hitting her. Im not sure if its because im rest broken and so is she. Shes been waking up at eleven and staying up until its time for me to get us up and ready at six am. Ourroutine. Is the same so im clueless Lately she screams until i get up and i find myself yelling and crying as well. Honestly im just exhausted. I know that being a parent especially a single parent is challenging but lately i've been so short tempered it scares me. I find myself yelling please shut up or im crying because she's up screaming ....

Hello ladies. I usually don't post, but here lately I've had something weighing on my mind. As most first time momma's, I am always worried about my babies. Since finding out I was pregnant, I've hit so many milestones and minor road blocks. I discovered I was having twins. Soon after found out they were Mono/Di. I did my research as I didn't know much about them. The road blocks mentioned were 2 ER visits for 1 brown spotting episode and 1 very scary bright red bleeding episode that lasted for hours and eventually turned brown again. Both times the babies were perfectly fine.

I set up a doctor's appointment to monitor the bleeding I had encountered, mostly because it was bright red. The OB assured me that everything was fine. My placenta looked good, my cervix looked good and both babies were growing like they should. He then proceeded to tell me that I was being labeled HIGH RISK, simply because they were Mono/DI and sharing a placenta. So I now see my OB every 2 weeks. This is where the worry comes in. He informed me that he WILL NOT be doing another ultrasound until my 20 week anatomy scan.

:nope::nope:

This seems a bit weird to me....how is he supposed to closely monitor my babies if he isn't actually seeing them?? The only thing I can think is maybe..possibly..he'll monitor them through a fetal doppler and see how strong their hearts sound...is anyone else Mono/Di not getting many ultrasounds?? I mean I am only 14 weeks right now..I can't imagine going 6 more weeks before I can see them..how does he know they're sharing like they should if he isn't checking??? It's just driving me absolutely nuts!! He also said I'll be having the in-clinic high risk specialist accompany all of my appointments..

I would love some help/advice!
I woke up this morning because my left thigh had a dull, achey pain. It has been constant all day. It has moved up to my hip area and my lower abdomin. When I press on my side it hurts too. None of the pain is horrible. It just worries me as I haven't had much pain so far. Is this normal? Does anyone know what it is?

Help please ladies!!

For moms who are pregnant a 2nd time-When did you feel baby move?
I feel like I can feel baby move, but i'm only 14 wks,3days, so I don't know if that's too soon, or maybe its just food digesting lol. But it does feel like how it did when baby would move in my first pregnancy. Just curious what others experienced.

Hello!

I confirmed my BFP on two nights ago. Whew.

I had a miscarriage at around 7w in January, so I am feeling a little skittish til I get further along this time. My doc told me to come back and see her if I didn't get pregnant again after 3 cycles. This was the 4th, so I was just about to make an appointment. I'm relieved that I get to make a different kind of appointment instead.

The next two months are going to be rough since I don't want to share the news with anyone until after the NT test at 11w. My social circle is familiar with my love of wine, so I'm not sure how I will manage to be discreet.

I feel weird / superstitious even typing this since it's so early. I hope I don't have another miscarriage. I am 36 and my husband is 37, so I am a little concerned about our ages.

I have some questions-

I'm going to be returning to work when my baby is about 2 months old and trying to pump while at work.

I've picked out the pump I want, but the issue is transferring the milk into freezer safe containers. This appears to be an impossible task IF the goal is to avoid exposure to air.

I have read over and over that when breastmilk is exposed to air, some of the vitamins become unstable- they are then useless.

All the pumps appear to be designed very similar and you must either pump directly into a disposable plastic bag- or transfer it into a storage container. (Please keep in mind that I don't want to (or see how it is possible to) feed my baby out of a plastic bag- know that... it would require ANOTHER transfer.

How in the world are people doing this? Please tell me the secret or trick...? I'm missing a very important step here obviously.

i love love love how this carrier looks its exactly what ive been looking for, the ease of a mei tai but with wrap style strap and a hood.
im rly thinking about getting one but wanted to see if anyone had anything to say about them before i do?

bubs is still only a month old and about 10lbs. i have a moby and but i find it rly complicated and bubs is suuuper squirmy so its hard to get a good tight hold on him in the moby bcuz it takes so long and so much fiddling to get it tied. the didytai looks like it will be much faster but still have the comfort of a wrap

my question is can it hold a newborn? i still have him in the newborn hug hold in the moby and wrap him high up with his legs in..is this possible in the didytai? would you have to roll it up to fit a smaller baby and can u put the legs in bcuz all the pics ive seen have legs out..

thanks!

So this is silly, but I am going to a friend's wedding toward the end of July. By the time it gets here, I will be about 15 weeks. Right now, I am 11 weeks and really not showing at all (this is my 1st). I would look silly wearing a maternity dress; however, I don't know if by then I will need one. It's a somewhat casual wedding, so I'm looking for casual sundress. I have been looking, but really haven't found anything.

If anyone has good websites for finding dresses, or any advice on whether I should go with maternity dress, or regular dress that fits loosely enough, pass it along! Thanks!

So my first prenatal visit for this pregnancy is at 5w+2d... This Saturday, to be specific. I have a history of miscarriage, miscarried my last pregnancy at nearly 10 weeks almost 3 years ago after going to to toe with the swine flu.

What should I expect? I know I should expect a urine test and blood work, but would they run an ultrasound this early? I mean... They'd likely only see a sac because it's so incredibly early, right? I really would hate to stress myself out further... Maybe I should abstain on a scan until 7 weeks?

Color me confused.

Hi Ladies

Just looking for some hope, inspiration, advice, words of wisdom or comfort really.

Like it says in the thread I have PCOS plus a blocked left tube. I have ovulated successfully on 100 mg Clomid and also on my first cycle of GonalF and weirdly I have ovulated all four times on my left side. Now I've been through this with the Doctor and Nurses and they all say the same thing to me; that the functioning tube can pick up the egg etc. However, I can't help but feel super paranoid that my hard won and worked for egg is disappearing to Blockville...ok Biology is not my strong point but you get the idea.

I just want to know if anyone has been in the same boat as me or is going through the same thing. It would really help me to not feel so anxious about my infertility issues. I'm already on a downer as I feel the Witch is not far off.

Thank you:flower:
