Colocynth Granules

Has anyone used Colocynth Granules before for their little ones wind?!

Brandon doesnt get a lot of wind, but the wind that he does get seems to take ages to come up and it really hurts him...he always lets out high pitched yelps whenever I am trying to burp him.

My midwife told me about these Colocynth Granules when I was in the hospital and Ive just went out to the pharmacy to get some, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences of them?!

xxx

I'd be interested to know this too - Sam hardly burps just like your LO and he really squirms & cries when I'm trying to wind - trouble is it can sometimes affect how much he eats as if he just can't get his wind up he gives up on his bottle!!

Ive been searching for this stuff for weeks and just found it at The Organic Pharmacy in Richmond. Very helpful staff who told me about the remedy and typical symptoms that can be treated. It comes as tiny granules in a bottle labelled "Colic" and is made up of Chamomilla, Colocynthis, MagPhos and Dioscorea. They have a load of branches in London theorganicpharmacy_com - will try it out tonight and see it it helps. We have tried just about everything else and have found that Gavisicon is helping with the reflux but hope this will help for the gas build up too.
