Neocate lcp??

So my daughter has been diagnosed with cmpi and been put on neocate lcp. And have been referred to a allergy specialist. She has had 1 bottle of the neocate and she seems to spew it up in little bits for the whole 4 hours until her next bottle. She didn't spew on any other formula is this normal. It stinks to blagh.

My LO is on this but I thicken it with Carobel otherwise he just throws it back up.

It's very thin, try a smaller teat size?

It seems like hardly any milk comes out of the teats she's on already so worried about going down a size. Her other hypo milk was much thinner than this one.

So the doctor won't give me a authority script for it because she hasn't seen the specilist yet whom I can't get I to for another 2 months so I'm paying 45$ per tin of neocate 2-3 times a week to feed my 5 month old for the next 2 months I'm going to be sooooo bloody broke if have any money left at all. She obviously needs it as it's been 5 days and she is %80 better already and all her excema is gone already

Hi my daughter has just been put on this as she was still getting bad diarrhoea on the pepti-junior and her skin was flaking off. It has only been 3 days but she's still vomiting and now even at night where she wouldn't really before. Also been put on duo cal to increase calories as her weight dropped to 9th and she seems to be taking less milk now?

How is your lo doing on neocate now?

She is doing really really well no more spews and sleepin great. No excema or diarrhoea. No screaming in pain. But I'm going to have to try soy milk because I can't afford the 135$ a week to buy 3 tins of neocate =( so I'm going to try her on soy after this tin I neocate is gone =( let's hope she hasn't got soy intolerance or allergy to it.

Oh and my lo is also taking about 30mls less a feed on neocate. She has been drinking mere 150mls every 4 hours since 2months old and on the tin it says she should be having 240mls

awww thats awful you cant get it free on prescription. Thats all Phoebe takes a feed 120mls at one point she was taking up to 180mls. She is just over 4 months and she prob has about 4-5 bottles that size a day. her skin seems to have improved but still the mucusy poos tho not so many. She doesn't seem to be projectile vomiting but still small sick.
I have tried her on rice porridge with some pureed pears and she loves it. Tho does not seem to keep her full for long. Does your lo still have ranatidine or reflux medicine?

Yeah she is still on losec daily for her reflux. I'm currently on a soy trial ATM to see if she is intolerant or allergic to that as well. She has only had 2 bottles but she has came down with a bad head cold so is very fussy and not drinking well due to having a blocked nose. But no runny poos or skin rash yet so fingers crossed soy works for her. As the bank account is very empty due to neocate and Christmas lol.

Hopefully your little one improves much more xx
