10 week old being sick after SMA powder but not ready made ....
Has anyone else experienced this. Should I continue on ready made with a hefty cost or switch and try him on a different powder? He had pre made for breakfast no spit up at all give him powder again for lunch and an hour later he is still spitting up. Same amount drank at each feed and it keeps happening like this x
We had the same problem with DD. She has reflux anyway so would spit up after every feed, but a lot more after the powder. We switched to SMA comfort and she was 100x better. She spits up less of that than she does after a breast feed (we combifeed) and I've have to drastically reduce the dairy in my diet to reduce the amount she brings up.
No advice, but I found sma to be quite heavy on the stomach. Had to change to aptamil as D was chucking up after every bottle. As soon as I changed his milk, he stopped spitting up. Plus I found that with sma he couldnt drink enough milk. It clogged him up bad.
Thank you so much for your responses we moved him onto Aptimil today and has been the same after every feed unfortunately and I love my good old SMA so switching him back quickly in the hope I dont disrupt his tummy too much. I would keep him on premade but I go away in 4 weeks and wondering how I would do it when I would need 14 1ltr bottles lol. Going to email Spar see if they can check if they stock it in Gran Canaria. Going to give that comfort one a go to hopefully avoid the need thanks so much x
