Anyone use the Tommee Tippee Micro Sterilizer?

How long do the bottles stay sterile in the sterilizer once its been opened?!

Iv meticulously looked through the instruction booklet and can only find that the bottles stay sterile for 24hrs wen the sterilizer is unopened....

however if i put 4 bottles in and only want to use one, how long do the others stay sterile for after opening....??

They dont. Its pretty much a con by Tommee Tippee! My electric steriliser says the same, on the front of the packaging I assumed it would work on the same basis as the Avent IQ 24 that I had(it broke down, but used to sterilse by itself every 6 hours, so you'd always have sterile bottles)

But no, they need to stay contained. Which is daft, cause you're gonna need a bottle! As soon as you'veopened it,thats it!

But, I was thinking after this, surely when you take out a bottle , put it together and use it for ready made milk while you're out, that counts as not being sterile either?

Its so confusing when you start isnt it.

I just sterilise them all, then put them together with the water and sit them on the side till i need them. theyve been washed and sterilsed so they are safe to use.

Ok so....could i sterilize 4 bottles, take one out and use it immediately, but at that same time put the teats and lids on the other 3 bottles so technically they are 'sealed' sterilized and use them later on...?

argh, stupid Tommee Tippee need to make themselves clear!!!

It confused the hell out of me as well. But once opened the other 3 bottles arnt sterile anymore i think! I gave up on using the microwave bit and use it as a cold water steriliser now with a milton tablet so I dont have to use all the bottles at once...can take one or two out and make up the bottles as needed then use the others later on as needed. Though thats probably not completly sterile either because the lids been opened

Same, I couldn't work it out, so gave up and started using it as a cold water steriliser instead xx
