Electric or Microwave steriliser

Hope you don't mind me poping in from 2nd Tri, my BIL has offered to get us our steriliser and I am looking for a bit of advice.

Which would you recommend between electric or microwave?

I have more or less decide that Tommie Tippie is the make that I want.

Personally I'd go for microwave. There's less to go wrong, cheaper to buy, easier to clean, easier to store/sell/give away without worries later on.

I've had nothing but trouble with my electric one and have swapped to a microwave one I bought for trips away.
Personally I think the microwave one is better- more waterand a longer time must kill more bacteria!!

Also I know it's not what you are asking but if I had my time again I'd have gone straight for dr browns bottles...

I have an Avent microwave sterilizer. Although i dislike Avent bottles as they leak non stop.... I LOVE the sterilizer. Never had a problem with it.. As someone else mentioned, its easier to store, its cheaper and less can go wrong with it!
