Do you make your bottles up with boiling water before & keep them refrigerated then microwave when ready to use?

Just to add, for those who use a jug of hot water for the MAM bottles - the instructions say not to stand the bottle in water due to the holes in the base. They can take in water, which then drips out as you feed, or it can get into the screw ring around the bottom bit & if you use HOT water it can scald you or the baby.

a jug and hot water from the kettle!!

bottle warmers are so unnecessary and just a total waste of money
theyre just another thing the manufacturers make you think you 'need'

I bought an Avent one and it was a complete waste of money. It was far faster to use a jug and boil the kettle. Now I microwave them and shake really well

Lol. Actually they're very good bottles, which is why a lot of ladies on here use them. Never had a single bit of trapped gas with them

The formula & bottle companies tell you to make each bottle fresh anyway so in theory there's no need for a bottle warmer for first infant milk when you make it from the powder. Their official use I THINK, is for warming food, ready made formula & expressed BM. Hence why MAM didn't think the holes would be too much of an issue with the average user.

I also microwave. First for 12 seconds then 8 seconds. This heats milk from the fridge to a perfect lukewarm temp. It's all trial and error though to find the best times.
