switching formula to aid reflux c&g to sma staydown?

please help me ladies lo is was on cow & gate with gaviscon its not helping at all doctor said to try hungry baby milk with gaviscon but if anything this has made him worse
I have been told by lots of people to try him on the sma staydown (without gaviscon) is it ok to just switch him over to that from the c&g? do I need a phasing in period? any other suggestions for reflux (my doctors are so rubbish I've already seen 3 different ones numerous times plus 2 hvs over his reflux & he is only 3 months)

afraid i can't help with the reflux issue, however in terms of formula, when we changed from aptimal to c&g, we just stopped aptimal and went straight to c&g with no ill-effects. this is what we were told to do by the hv at the time.
