Nearly 1 and won't hold bottle ....

My DS is 1 in two weeks and he refuses to hold his bottle. He can hold it and has fed himself once but that's it. The nursery staff say he is just a bit lazy with it. If I sit the bottle in front of him he just cries. Is my DS the only one and any ideas how to get him to do this????

Alexa doesn't hold her own bottle when she's having milk. She will drink her juice out of her cup as it has got 2 little handles on the side but she definatley wont hold her bottle and drink her milk herself. It's not worrying me I just think maybe she likes her cuddle times with me when she has her bottle

Hannah never held her bottle either though by age 1 she was only having one a day anyways and we just chucked them out and switched to sippy cups right before her first b-day

Earl never held his. We switched to sippy cups (which he would hold) just after his birthday. I found it easy to get him to stop the bottles as a result lol.

My DD only holds her sippy cups sitting up. She feeds herself her bottles but she likes to lie on her back on the floor and drink it there. I think her arms get too tired otherwise! She doesnt really like to be fed much either.
