We bought tommee tippee but had one avent one. They were both good. We had 8 in the beginning but as long as youve got at least 2 you should be fine.

I'd recommend Dr Brown's bottles. I started off with avent, but changed due to little one having problems with trapped wind and reflux. Made a great difference. Yes, they are expensive, and fiddly to wash etc, but worth it in my opinion.

I'd say buy 6 bottles. Oh, and i reckon there really is no need to go for the smaller 4 oz bottles initially, as they soon grow out of them.

We got some TTCTN ones.. they were okay but they have such a big lip inside of them the last of the milk gets stuck in the bottle and you have to tip LO and the bottle way back to get it to go down into the nipple. We got some Playtex VentAire bottles a few days after she was born and we really like them Keeps her from getting air in her milk too.

ive got NUK bottles
theyve got an anti colic teat and teats that are british dental association approved
theyre also the brand of teats that hospitals use for prem babies
i also like how the teats are really small for newborns. i think tommee tippee and avent teats look a bit too big!
i have 6 bottles, the reason being so i dont have to worry about washing bottles during the night.... if i only had 2 i'd have to get up after 2 night feeds and wash n sterilise ready for morning!!! having 6 means there'd always be one ready during the night and one for morning too

We got Avent as they were the best I could find. We also have some EvenFlo. We started out with about 4 bottles but gradually built up to a collection of 10. Avent bottles are expensive so I bought them one at a time.

I don't think you need 10 but I like having that many so I'm not constantly washing bottles. lol

I bought a minimum of 20. They seem to disappear and we had to make them up and take to daycare so had to have enough for at least 10 hours or so. Plus I don't like to wash bottles all that much would hate to wash several times a day. We always had enough to put in dishwasher and such. You may not want to stock up too much before baby arrives. Sometimes they just don't like the one you picked and then you have lots of wasted money. We bought the playtex ventair ones but switched to the playtex drop ins as they were much handier. Not sure if they have those kinds in your neck of the woods.

We've tried breast flow, dr browns, playtex drop ins, medela standard ones, and we are now using gumdrops. We have 2 9oz and 3 4oz ones.
