I will be for as long as she is on formula. There are some nasty bugs/bacteria that can grow in formula milk!

That doesn't have anything to do with the bottle though. If you make the formula up according to instructions you should kill that bacteria. Honestly, by the time a baby is crawling they are putting all kinds of things in their mouth and are hardly "sterile" at that point. I would think washing the bottles in hot, soapy water would be good enough at this stage of the game but you have to do what you're comfortable with and if you want to keep sterilizing than do it!

The bugs/bacteria in old milk are worse than stuff from the floor though and they can grow regardless of how the bottle was prepared. Believe me i'm not a germaphobe about most things but i'll still be sterilising bottles til DD is on cows milk

I still sterilise bottles and teats but nothing else (dummies/spoons etc). I'll do it until LO stops taking formula x

I'll stop as soon as he crawls or starts weaning. You can't sterilise plates and spoons and what the food is prepared in so there's no point sterilising the bottles either. Once he's crawling he'll be shoving pretty much everything on the floor into his mouth so I don't see the point really

I think some countries have pretty much proved that if you wash them in water hot enough to need rubber gloves, then that kills as many bugs as sterilising anyway.
