I wouldn't worry though dear, it's mostly for ease of life and takes up less space. Nothing more annoying than having to pay for more texts than necessary.

Also possibly a good way of stopping people reading his messages?
Well it bloody works I couldnt understand a freaking word, now I am curious

You want us to try and decipher it? lol

Ohhh, I'll tell you what's worse!!!!!!! When they use text speak on MSN, but not ONLY that, but a million and one emoticons pop up when they're typing so you can't even read the convo at all......how the hell can they do it/read it??

For example, if they are typing 'DOG', the D will be a big flashing 'D', the O will be an orange and the G will be gordon the gopher (ok so it wont but you know what i mean lol)......kids eh, who'd have 'em?

Just to let everyone know Dan knows I check his phone it was one of the rules when he got it, the last phone he got had some filthy stuff on it so we took it of him, I dont mind him having jokes and stuff but he was down loading some really nasty stuff just to show his friends, so we took it away. Now I check his phone usually just downloads but I had a extra wee nosey today

Haha i'm pretty up-to-date on text lingo, never use it other than the occasional 'tbh' but enough of my friends do that i've had to learn the language so to speak. Give us lot a go at deciphering what's got you all curious

For me text speak is for texting only, mainly because its quicker.

99.9% of the time when doing anything else i prefer things to be written properly.

Whenever anyone mentions text speak i cant help but think of the film "Ali G Indahouse" when he does the whole B8RZ text thing

I got the m8 = mate, bit.

Googled aysos and got = Are You Stupid Or Something

So not actually text speak but an acronym!

You learn something new everyday!
