Electricity costs

How much do you pay for your electric? Our bills seem to be working out 80 per month which seems very high?

We moved and now have a dishwasher and tumble dryer which I am a little addicted to and I'm sure this is costing us lots, but I can't remember how much we paid before we had these (and our bills were always wrong anyway so I can't compare).

I'm in London I do laundry 3 times per week, TV is always on and lamps are on throughout the night. I have an electric cooker and a tumble dryer I only use if I have to, my bill works out to 20-30 pcm at the most! all my light bulbs are energy saving, In order to keep my bill down I pay 5 pw by DD and for the last 2 quarters both bills say they owe me, that seems quite high for 1 month you should get it looked into xx

We spend about 70 euro a month which works out about between 55 and 60 quid. I have my computer on pretty much all day and my OH has his on for probably half of it. We do laundry once or twice a week, have energy saving light bulbs, fridge and freezer on all the time (obviously) but no TV. Our computers use the most juice. Tumble driers are usually the culprit for high electric bills.

My electricity bill went up to 60 a month this year! It was only 50 but as they put up their prices, up went my DD! Wether or not I'll use all that and be in credit a bit I don't know (although I doubt it)! I've stopped using my tumble dryer as much as that sucks the power out the wall, I make sure I turn all the switches off at the wall when nothing's being used too (except fridge) I have an electric cooker and my OH and eldest boys always seem to have their gadgets on charge.. All my bulbs are energy savers and my washing machine/ dishwasher is on once or twice a day! Tv is on quite a bit in the eve but that's about it really!

Sorry my electricity bill went up to 60 last yr (October time) For some reason I keep thinking we're in 2012 lol!

How does everyone do so little laundry?! I do about 2 loads per day! We must go through a lot of clothes :/

Maybe my 80 isn't so bad then. I'm at home most of the week as well so that would push costs up. I do have a meter that tells me how much electricity is coming and its low-ish most of the time but having a tumble dryer, washing machine and dishwasher on at the same time sends it haywire :S

99 a month but I don't have gas. They recently messed up my monthly payments so I've just finished paying off a bill of 237 a month x

About 40 a month. I do 2/3 laundry loads a day (reflux baby!), have a dishwasher but no tumble dryer as I think it's a waste of money tbh. Our heating is gas but the shower is electric, live in a 3 bed semi and im home nearly all the time
