Not a lot really but it's not something that changed with kids we've just prioritised different things. Our adventure living overseas and now saving for a house.

Haircut every 10 weeks and 30 a time. Eyebrow /lip waxes is switched to doing at home so about 10 every 4 months for a new kit. Make up v rarely but I do refresh when needed so 40 per year.
Clothes, shoes, coats etc on an as needed basis. Maybe about 250 for a whole year. That does not include things like outfits for weddings, if it's a close relative I'll get something new if not I reuse.

I consider travel expenses as part of typical bills, too. I think most of my extra spending ends up being day trips as a family with the kids, not just for myself, so that could be the same for others too. It's rare that I go out and just buy stuff for myself, or go out by myself period, lol. Usually I'm out doing things with the kids, and our extra spending is on activities or going out to eat as a family.

I just included train tickets because that's the only example I could think of off the top of my head

Thanks for the replies so far. I realy feel like i want to focus a bit more on myself. I would much rather spend my birthday and christmas money on the kids and usualy do. If its a choice between buying myself some new jeans which i realy need or buying the kids something the kids always win. I feel so scruffy all the time. I still feel bad for buying the stuff i need, and i usualy put it off as long as possible.

I feel the same way. Even down to needing jeans. Maybe start out slow splurging on yourself. If you ease into it maybe you won't feel as bad. I know after I have this LO I intend on losing the weight and working on myself again as far as some new clothes and new makeup, etc. I've never spent a lot on hair or things but it will be nice to make myself feel girly and not just 'mommy' again.

It's amazing how much better you'll feel with some new clothes after losing some baby weight The whole new set of scrubs I just bought for work was to go down a size, since I've finally lost about 25 lbs after having the kids. Took a loooong time to lose the weight. Honestly, I feel so much better in clothes that fit right, and people actually notice the weight loss now that I am in clothing that fits right instead of being too big and baggy after losing the weight. I say don't feel bad about splurging on something like that! It's something you need, and something that will make you feel much more confident in yourself.

I spend and embarassing amount but I don't have children yet. I don't buy massive amounts but I like nice brands so a bag could be 100+, makeup palette could be 40.
