Kids dinner and dance help!

Hi all, so my 5 year old daughter has cystic fibrosis, I am having a dinner and dance and as kids are not allowed she asked to do a children's one. We have the venue booked and a few ideas. It's going to be 2.5 hours...kids are not going to dance for that long? Any ideas of what else I can have or do? She doesn't want it to go charity disco way though...more glam! We are having a red carpet and photographer on arrival, buffet dinner, heads and tails game, face paints and tattoos and a candy cart. Any other ideas to keep them busy? X

How about a magic show? One a little more mysterious than comedy, to give it a more grown up feel. You could book a local dance group to perform?

Some kind of performance would be good, like previous poster said. Also maybe a photo booth kind of set up with props etc.
