Verrucas

My 6 year old has what I think is a verruca on the bottom of her big toe. It must have just appeared in the last week or two (I often put plasters on her feet for dancing and haven't noticed it before)
She dances barefoot, 3 or 4 days a week so it's not really surprising. Anyway she isn't complaining of pain or anything (yet) but what am I best to do?

Should I get a doctors opinion? Are there any effective remedies I can try, or do they go on their own?

Hey I don't know what they do these days but as a kid I had to soak my foot in a purple liquid and also had it froze with liquid nitrogen, hope that helps, good luck

You don't actually have to do anything, her body will eventually beat the virus and it will disappear on its own at some stage even if you do nothing.

My daughter had them a few months ago and I got bazuka an over the counter gel that you apply daily and it leaves a protective barrier over it then after a week you file it down so it exposes the root and allows the gel to kill it. You can just leave them but they can end up rather big and really sore to walk on, my little girl ended up with three on one foot so they were sore but the bazuka got rid of them within a couple of weeks.

Thanks everyone. I nipped into the chemist and asked, and she said they generally do like to treat them, and recommend the bazuka. Will take dd in just to make sure it is in fact a verruca (I'm pretty sure it is) and then get her some.
