I have my ex power company trying to sting me for just under $1000. Now, I KNOW for a fact that was paid because it was $600 as we had to go without groceries and paying Pay-Per-View TV that month because of it. And as soon as it was paid I told them to shove it and changed companies. Anyhow, I got a debit in someone else's name come to my address (they have been for years) and got fed up with it. I had to open it to give them them debt number and what do you know? It's for the same company I am disputing for the exact same amount!! Coincidence? I don't think so but I WILL be saying something when I send through the dispute.

As for future credit, they want another year debt free so I'll layby something. I'll deal with a bar fridge for the now, new one will be paid this time next year and that's another year without an HP so they can't decline me. Then I can get what I want and the $800 I would have paid by this time next year, I can sell for the same price - as long as I haven't used it.

I just realised I said 6 months on my original post - I meant 6 years (changed now)
