Ill have a look for you there is a website that transfers odf files to doc files that can be opened in word, I used to use it all the time because I had the free version of open office

Use this website just put the files from your usb onto your pc and tell it where to look for them then tell it to convert it to a doc format and it should email you the converted file that you can then open in word.

http://www.zamzar.com/

This isnt the same one I used to use but should still do the same job

If it's an emergency TODAY then this won't help, but you can save Open Office documents in word format - simply save them as .doc rather than (I think) .odt

I looked online to buy Microsoft Office and got a free trial for 90 days I think it was.
Just google MS Office and it's on the MS website :-)

Have you got a .ac.uk email address for college? If you have then you can buy Office for £30. You could also buy it through your college and it's cheaper
