Lidl soya milk - beware

My niece is allergic to dairy products, recently my sister decided to try Lidl soya milk as it's much cheaper. My niece started being really ill (blood in poo, swollen tummy), my sister couldn't think what had changed in her diet, and started checking all packages. The Lidl soya milk contatins milk proteins!! Now she's beating herself up for not checking, but you just don't think that soya would have milk in it do you? So just wanted to warn people.

Thanks, she's a bit better but still not 100%, got a hospital appointment this week. I just moved here, I'm in the Cowley/Headington area.

I know, I'm also allergic and if I think how much pain I'm in if I eat something dairy and then imagine the poor little girl going through that - she's only 15 months.

My son used to be lactose intollerant and its suprising what foods actually contain milk protein. But soya milk? I would never have thought to check the label on that.

I'm lactose intolerant, was too when I was a babby. Poor little girl, I'd be complaining!
